Pabst and Fiacable are still on the roster. Pabst looked really good in the spring game. Not sure why he isn't getting any mentions. He roped a TD pass downfield in the spring game that left me shaking my head and it was in between defenders.Obviously everyone wishes him a safe and healthy recovery throughout his life.
Question becomes what other choices did IU have with transfers? If any? From what I read I assume that IU was fully aware of his issues as he was getting help at Arizona. Now we are stuck with a true freshman athlete that spent the summer playing defense as our third string guy. I’m sure the hope was Penix would use a red shirt this year. Maybe we could have hung onto our transfer for another year? Why role the dice on such a shaky bet?
