Fun game but what a disaster last minute by Dusty. 3 possessions to either tie or take the lead and I’m not even sure they got a shot off. All with 2 TO’s that he finally decides to use with 3 seconds left. Very reminiscent of the tournament game he blew to Northwestern last year.

For all those clamoring for Dusty...IU and Michigan have nearly identical offensive efficiency metrics. Michigan has one of the highest TO% rates in the entire country (334/364 teams). Michigan blew a 15 point lead yesterday, gave up 60 points in about a 15 minute span, and had the ball with a chance to tie or take the lead 3 different times in the last minute and didn't get a real shot off.

Louisville had us down 40

He's like 8 games in. Woody is 4 years in.

He's better than Woody, but outside of his tournament run, he really hasn't been overly impressive. Best guess on him is that he's a Brad Underwood type of coach...capable of building a consistently good and athletic team, but not an elite level coach that will hang banners anywhere.

I mean that's not saying much at this stage. If Dusty May wasn't a basketball manager at IU 25 years ago he doesn't get near as much love as he does on here.

1 team wins a championship each season. Knight won 3 over 40 years and is considered a God. I'd take Underwood in a heartbeat.

Consistently good is a step up from where we have been the last couple decades.
He would have been, and probably would still be, a solid hire for IU. It is very possible with IU's resources, he could have been great. But there are TONS of others out there that would also be very good.

There’s a difference in one night’s performance and being in year 4.

I'm not clamouring for any coach specifically. I'm clamouring to allow our AD the freedom to do his job. I don't remember even hearing Curt Cignetti's name, and that turned out OK. If he's doing his job he's keeping tabs on a number of candidates, and I'd guess DM would be one of those.
