BRAVO!I know some want to claim nepotism here but I’d point out a few things:
-He’s 6’5 255
-Believe he was on scholarship at Miami OH, so not like he couldn’t play
-He walked on bc he wanted to be at IU
-All the coaches have said he’s basically #2 TE now behind the kid they took to B10 Media day who is going to be a stud
To me we should all cheer a story like that all day long. Walk ons who EARN a scholarship are awesome stories.
If his last name was Jones don’t think anyone would have said anything other than great story. And to me, this kid must bleed IU red and if he loves it and worked his way back, what an asset to have that inside and influencing the program!
