I still find baseball humor to be some of the best.
Rick Sutcliff, after giving up back-to-back home runs to Eric Davis and Paul O’Neil in Cincinnati, where fireworks are shot off after home runs, yelling at his pitching coach who was coming out to the mound. “Get back to the dugout and tell Zimmer to calm down.”
“I know you have things under control, Rick. I’m just coming out in order to give the fireworks guy time to reload.”
