has been Rice to me. Louisville has a shit roster, but Chuckie F-ing Hepburn makes them viable. Nembhard at Gonzaga one of the best point guards in the country, their roster isn't anything special, but he makes them go. I was led to believe we were going to get that type of play out of Rice, haven't seen it against the 2 d1 teams we played, matter of fact he was dominated by both. sure, Woodson's pound it inside offense doesn't help showcase his talents but Rice needs to step up his play and lead this team.

It's not very apparent because he wears long sleeves, but it seems that Rice needs to hit the weight room. He has been getting worked by stronger, tougher players.

Don’t worry fellas. It has been posted that Woody’s teams play HARD! And we have DOGS!

I am sure all will be fine. DWS
Newton would have been a dog, shame his health has held him back. one thing I'm Damn sure of is in the future we need to get more athletic. MM is a prime example just lacks the explosiveness at the rim to go up over someone. Reneau and Ballo have to hold the ball 5 seconds and dance around just to get a shot off, it just causes the whole offense to stagnate

You can see that Rice is playing like a kid in a gym full of athletic equipment with no rules.

Woodson doesn't show any kind of offensive discipline with his teams.
Just imagine woodson spent like 2 million bucks on these two high priced pac ten guards and in his system they are average at best.

This is what happens when the coach is so pathetic at his job. It makes the players look bad in the process.

Pretty much every single outlet, talking head, and fan agreed that CMW had assembled a really good roster. Woody said it, too! But it’s his job to make them a team. Still waiting on that to happen.

I get it. This is a fan forum for discussion. But I really can’t agree to blame the players when the coaching is as abysmal as it currently is.

I hope “we” don’t resort to bashing the players when they’re performing as they’ve been coached to do and/or allowed to do.

Also, how can anything other than CMW’s performance not be at the top of everyone’s, “Biggest disappointment from this Bahamas fiasco”?

The players follow the coach and reflect his philosophy, work ethic and attitude. It's the coach more often than not, and the simplest way to prove is that the coach is responsible (in year 4) for who is on the team and in the game. If they aren't playing hard, if they aren't ready to play, if they don't know what they are doing- it's his fault.

If they stay up gambling the night before or show up to workouts out of shape, or miss on grades, or get in fights.... it's their fault.
