Big Ten Announces Early Season Kickoff Times and Additional National TV Times. IU will play two Friday Night Games

So if the game is Sat, students could head back a day early and go to the game.

Friday makes that tougher
Sure, but NBC doesn't care about attendance. I love the TV spot for IU though. It's a great slot to have an under appreciated rivalry. No NFL on Friday night, people are done with family and want to watch something. It's not on a streaming service. As long as IU wins, it's a GREAT spot.

I'm still of the opinion that they ought to do it on Thanksgiving Night to compete with the Egg Bowl and have a lot of TV eyes on the game.

That seems like a wild move. It's at Purdue so its like a bye but it will give our backups an extra days rest before the B1G title game.

May as well start planning for it now...

We can probably help Coach Cignetti given it will be his first true encounter with the purduu mentally up close and personal...

My first suggestion is that He and all the sideline Coaches, plus the Training staff, be outfitted with INDIANA Baseball helmets along with a heavy weight parka (with hood) to deal with the high velocity penny and ice attacks that have become the standard for sportsmanship up there... A few years back they even sent one of their own fans to the emergency room with a glass beer bottle to the head (up in their Very extra special fan section)... Why they bothered to throw a bottle at their own fan section remains one of life's mysteries but given that pu fans were involved I'm certain I can live happily without knowing the answer...
