okay, we’re 3-0 right now, which is amazing for IU football. Here is the remain8ng schedule

vs MSU
@Rutgers
@OSU
vs Iowa
vs Penn state
@Minnesota
vs Maryland
@Michigan
vs Purdue

Best case scenario, we lose vs OSU, Penn State, and Michigan. If you’re absolutely insane, we also nab a win vs Penn State or Michigan. We go 9-3 and are fringe top 25. Win a bowl game and are 10-3.

Worst case scenario we beat Rutgers and that’s it. Injuries have to be included if we end up 4-8, as I don’t see it happening.

Realistic, I say 7-6. Lose to OSU, Penn State, Michigan, Iowa, Michigan State, then lose either another big ten game or bowl game.

Really excited about this team.

One game at a time...

I love the enthusiasm, but you gotta be careful with this stuff. We haven't played a B1G game yet. We started out 4-0 in 2015 but the season quickly went into the crapper with a six game losing streak. I don't see that happening in 2018 because we play defense now, but I think we have to see how things go against MSU before we get too carried away with lofty expectations.

Don’t take this too serious I don’t.
Go Hoosiers!

See, that's the problem. I do take it seriously. I desperately want one glory season on the gridiron before I cash in my chips. That's much more important to me than seeing another banner flying inside AH.
I like to see both but how does this really effect or change your life in any way. I loved when the Colts won the Super bowl but it really did not change one thing about my life and I had to get up the next day and go to work. On the other part if I was told we could only have one team win I would pick basketball every day.

I didn't make any claims about it being life-changing, but a big football season would bring me a lot of happiness.

I've enjoyed our past runs in basketball. I'd like to see more but, at this point in my life, it's "been there, done that." Because we've never won anything in football, a championship in that sport would be a lot more satisfying to me at this juncture. It's a personal preference, dude. You're entitled to you own.

We don't seem to agree much, but in this case regarding wanting IU to do serious damage in football before the next basketball achievement is in order, is something on a bucket list for both of us. Been a Cubs fan forever and thought it was hopeless until a few years ago.. I'd be ecstatic to see IU in the Rose Bowl or higher anytime soon.

I see it this way

Should win: @Rutgers
Should be favored: Maryland, Purdue
Toss-up: @Minnesota
Underdogs at home, but winnable: Iowa, MSU
Should be competitive: @Michigan
Can compete, but will be tough: Penn State, @Ohio State

This team seems different than in the past. We aren’t overly reliant on offense or defense - we have balance. Also seeing marked improvement each week in all areas of the game. Ramsey seems in control.

CTA has them believing. We have solid depth. Injuries have been minimal. The freshman are terrific - what an impact class.

MSU seems very winnable to me. Barely best Utah St. and lost to ASU. They don’t run the ball well and are susceptible to a good passing game. Ramsey will need to be on and those Big Recievers need to win their match-ups.

The OL will be tested in a big way Sat. IU can't establish a run and pocket protection game early the pressure on PR will be brutal and his scrambling abilities will be needed.

Totally agree. Favorite teams are in reality a small thing in life but when small things can bring you excitement and happiness then it makes life that much better, and when special things happen during a season you can always look back on it and say damn that was fun. Hopefully this football season will be one of those. Looking forward to Saturday already!!

What I've noticed is improvement during the game. That's not something I've seen in the past. These guys are getting things figured out in real time. That's coaching.

If the OL is tested, MSU will have made huge strides in their bye week as they have had absolutely no pass rush in their first two games

Cubs fan here too. Could agree more.

I meant the post not the season. I take my Hoosiers very seriously and I’m desperate to win in football. I hate being shitty in football.
I watch every minute and usually make at least one game a year from Mobile. Go Hoosiers!

What a horrible post. Has nothing to do with the subject at all. At least I got another good laugh for “On the other part”!! That’s not a saying at all. Maybe on the other hand?!

Yep, we should be able to pass it and I think Scott will be able to run it enough to keep them honest. We'll need Walker to step up as I don't trust our other backs not to run into the back of an O-Lineman and get stuffed.
