Is one of the worst ' legitimate ' POTUS candidates I've ever seen. He's an atrocious debater and seems totally incoherent on half his responses.

Which is exactly what I expected. If anyone thinks he has a legit shot at this, they really don't understand presidential politics
Biden is the only one with near the chips to take on Hillary, and I believe even he'd come up short, she has been rock solid tough tonight

Hillary is kicking butt

The others can't get any traction.

Hillary is kicking butts and taking names. Would love to see her debate Trump, but alas, he won't make it that far.

This is the worst slate of debate participants I've seen....honestly the "b" card debates for the GOP had better debators. (Not talking policy, just quality of debators).

I feel like I'm watching a college debate team...sans Hillary. I wonder how much the party had to promise guys like Chafee, Webb, etc.....just to get them to participate. The bench is woefully weak at the top end.

Thought Martin was decent as was Sanders, but Hillary the clear winner.

Sanders said he was not going to do debate prep, part of his disdain for the beauty pagent. I think that hurt him, and it seems clear Clinton seemed the most presidential.

Sanders also kicked the email discussion. It is what we get when someone tells what they believe to be the truth and not worry about scoring points. Many Sanders people will love it, but I am not sure it helped him tonight.

I think Hillary

Saw her task as convincing Uncle Joe that he would be wasting his time. She knows she will beat the guys on the stage. I think she accomplished that with the consumers of democratic politics. But I don't know if she made headway with the Dem power brokers and and fund raisers.

He was ok, in that he was at least halfway prepared. Webb and Chafee looked like they were there as party volunteers.

Sanders basically said the same stuff he always says, which is like a dog whistle for those that buy into his policies. For the 80% of the country that doesn't buy into democratic socialism, it was predictable and a total fail to expand his reach. Much like how Goat was all gaga over his Liberty University speech, yet when I watched it I found absolutely nothing new or even interesting.

Hillary was like a pro playing against a bunch of Division 2 college kids tonight.

Hillary did leave at least a couple of turds on the stage.

First she said something about California having paid medical leave in response to Fiorina's position such would hurt small business. Left unsaid was that businesses and jobs are leaving California for places like Texas and other business friendly states.

Second she mentioned that she had to leave a sick kid to go to work in court. Doubtful. She avoided court in her practice.

I agree with her position on repealing immunity for gun sellers and manfacturers but even at that she screwed up the issue. She overstated the immunity effects in a way that would only serve to piss off her opponents on gun control. That tactic won't bring people together.

Hillary clearly won the debate. Sanders won't make it past Super Tuesday. Once the primary wins start piling up for Hillary it will be over. Joe's not getting into the race. The only mystery is who will the Republicans nominate. My money is on the young senator from Florida and Hillary will clean his clock in the general.

My predictions...we'll see.

BTW, doesn't Lincoln Chaffee look a little bit like Al Lewis (Grampa Munster)?

I think you have a very good chance of being right on all you predictions. A Rubio v Clinton matchup would be very interesting, the generational dichotomy would basically take the 2008 blueprint and flip it - seasoned experience vs fresh face.

I was convinced that Biden would get in until tonight. There are 2 ways he looks at this tonight. 1) there are 4 guys up there that have 0% chance of winning.....I could easily be the anti-Hillary. or 2) Hillary looked so dominant I'm not even going to try.

I have to disagree with everyone else in this thread. I thought Sanders ran away with this debate.

You don't happen to be a strong supporter of Sanders, are you? ;)

I happen to be one of his supporters, but his performance today was not one of his best. However, I must give him credit for sticking out for Hilary on the email thing. Sorry, Aloha! ;)

Sanders has zero chance of being nominated. If Hillary stumbles, and I don't believe she will, Joe will jump in to save the party. You can't compare Sanders to Obama. Obama wasn't an outsider, he was a fresh face who took the right position on the most important issue in the primary..Iraq. Sanders isn't a fresh face. He's so far outside he'll never get inside. Democrats want to win and they will with Hillary.

Sanders isn't even a Democrat.

You are all wrong. Sanders is winning the facebook poll by an overwhelming #. It's over for Hillary.

Do you think Sanders email remark was his idea

Or was he given a nudge to punt the issue for the good of the team.

Yep, it over. The Facebook crowd has voted. LMAO.

You had a guy that basically attacked the entire basis of American economic history. To think we are Denmark shows how out of touch this guy is.

His attack on successful people, honestly is flat un-American and people will never buy into it. It's against our inherent culture. (Ok, well some will mainly 1) college students and 2) people that have failed professionally and need someone to blame it on.)

I think most of us are happy to take a little from billionaires and trillionaires and zillionaires and spread it around a little.

Wealth tax. and Death taxes.

Specifics please. What tax policy at what levels? Let's talk actual numbers and see what impact it would have.

there are only 536 billionaires in America. 0 'trillionaires". You and Bernie blame all our problems on these 536 people. Amazingly, a huge amount of them are actually supporters of Democrats.

Isn't a "wealth tax"

simply a confiscation of property? What if all a individual's wealth is in real estate. Seems like there is a problem of taking property without just compensation.

He's not attached to reality. That's why he is supporting Sanders.

How exactly am I "not in touch with reality?" Sanders supporters maybe the most well educated lot in Presidential history. Their incomes aren't too shabby either in most cases. These are people who want to better the country even if they themselves give a little more for the common good and get a shorter end of the deal.

I have to agree here. A lot of people want to attack Sanders' supporters when their biggest sin appears to be being unselfish.

“Enough of the emails! Let’s talk about the real issues facing America!” -- Sen. Bernie Sanders

"Yeah, like 'Black Lives Matter' vs. 'All Lives Matter'." -- crazed_hoosier2

One is a small event mainly about 1 person and their antagonist that is under investigation and the other is about millions of people and the systemic issues with our justice system in dealing with them.

I think they have their priorities in the right place.

That's not accurate....Sanders support weakens as income levels increase, compared with Hillary......his strongest base of support is the under 30 group, specifically college aged white kids.

You aren't in touch with reality for the reasons I mentioned above, please provide some math to support the cost of democratic socialism. You can't get enough out of 'billionaires' to even start a conversation.

Reducing the DoD budget, killing big business subsidies and closing tax loopholes takes care of most of it.
