Bench was great

Love the fire in the belly of this team!

IU is much, much better team that last season's team with no perimeter shooters other than Yogi.

This was a game I had been waiting on. JBJ comes out of his shooting funk,

multiple guys hitting 3's, minimal turnovers, rebound decently, contributions from lots of people. TW was great, JBJ was terrific, RJ outstanding, Robinson played good, etc. The unsung hero, or at least Best Award in a Supporting Role, is Colin Hartman. Just plays the whole game with all that he has. Yogi hit some shots, but more importantly, showing leadership. Top of the B1G!!!!

This team does not cave. Being behind is only an obstacle to be overcome.

They do not fall apart or go zonkers. Coach, to give him credit, called some timely TOs today.

Yogi needs to realize he does not have to go 1 on 5 this season

Yogi forcing shots hurts IU at times.
Take away Yogi's forced offense which amounts to turnovers and IU wins this game by double digits.

Re: This was a game I had been waiting on. JBJ comes out of his shooting funk,

How often did we win on the road, or at home last year, in conference, when Yogi went 1 for 9 from the field?

Our offense revolves around us forcing the ball inside with drives.

Yogi does it as well as anyone. Yes some shots are best not taken, but often he gets fouls or they go in. The baseline drive is part of the offensive set-up.

You don't cave when you know you have 3-4 guys who can shoot it from three. Gets you back into games that used to be gone before the three came into vogue.

Nice to have that confidence. Must be hard for opposing coaches

to devise a game plan knowing there are so many options.

Without penetration, spreading the floor would be pretty easy to defend. I'll take my chances with Yogi in drawing fouls, dishing off to others. Williams is the one who scares me when he puts the ball on the floor, however he's the best at penetrating without the ball.

Nothing wrong with wanting continued improvement...

Nice win today but it's only gonna get tougher. Yogi dribbles into trouble more than he needs to.

Yogi is the PG, penetrating and dishing to open 3 shooter is good,

Yogi bricking forced 3s or taking it in against the trees is not a high percentage shot, the best thing that could happen is that Yogi draws fouls on the opposing teams center and rim protector, Egwu, which happened today.
Yogi at times wants to score like last season and he has to realize there are better 3pt shooters this year than himself.

Yogi did well today. Only 1-4 from three, but they were good shots.

Had 7 points. 4-4 from the line. 9 assists!! Only 1 turnover. 4 rebounds. I will take that all day with the ability of so many others who can score. I also want leadership from him. Get guys in the right position or correct what went wrong.

I'm sure some pray our volumn shooters have an off-shooting night and game plan from there. vbg

Re: Yogi is the PG, penetrating and dishing to open 3 shooter is good,

We have six kids shooting better than 38% from three and Yogi is one of them. That computes to shooting almost 60% on two's. I don't want any of those six to quit putting it up from three, unless they're getting uncontested layups.
