All of the action is complete for the weekend and here are the standings.

Purdue surprisingly took 2 of 3 from Michigan to hurt their chances to win the regular season championship and they may not be in a good mood when we travel there next weekend. MSU swept a really bad Minnesota team and have won four straight B1G games, and have moved from next to last into a tie with IU and Nebraska at 6-9. Penn St and Northwestern are both at 7-8 and are currently occupying the last two spots for the B1G tournament if the season ended today. PSU probably has the easiest remaining conference schedule with series against two teams with losing records in MSU, OSU, and finishing with Illinois which will be their most challenging series left.

Although we get Minnesota we also have Iowa and Michigan, so of the teams fighting for the eighth spot I’d say we probably have the toughest schedule

I would say that we absolutely have to sweep the Gophers when they come here, because as you have indicated Iowa and Michigan on the road will not be easy and that is putting it mildly.

It really doesn't matter since the season is not over with but to be accurate, I made a mistake when I said that NW and PSU occupied the last two spots for the the B1G tournament if it ended today. Purdue is in the 8th spot right now with a 6-7 record with NW and PSU up on them by percentage points in the 6th and 7th spots with both having 7-8 records.

It hurts when we apparently do not have a dependable third starter. That puts more pressure on us winning the first two games, so that we can at least win the series.
