I hate most blue schools but I LOATHE baby blue. Let’s destroy that pathetic piece of trash program…. For those interested UNC received the worst title IX grade in the country. Cmon women let’s take ‘em down
So before the B1G starts this year we play:
- at Kansas (Allen Fieldhouse)
- vs Arizona (Las Vegas)
- vs North Carolina (Bloomington)
- Gavitt Games opponent still TBD.....but likely to be Villanova?

IU schedule preseason matches up with any in the country. Hopefully, IU's experience returning is a big asset and results in a win. Assembly Hall crowd will be WILD, matching the UK and Duke games. Marco Killingsworth and his dunk against Duke is still the loudest crowd moment that I have ever heard at AH.
Thought the place was gonna fall down. I was so drunk, shirtless, and had Earl Calloway's number painted on my chest behind the basket. Probably one of the best days of my life. Got hit by a car cuz I jumped out of a truck and crossed the street w/o looking on the way to the game. Rolled up on the car and was just laughing. Looked at the 50ish old woman terrified driving, said sorry with a huge smile, and ran towards the hall. That was a good freaking day.
I agree but the OT game against UM in 76 had to close.
it was so loud i thought the ceiling was going to collapse. in fact i think it did a few years later. maybe that's why.

I was at the Cody/Vic game. It was almost a "let down" because of how badly we destroyed them.
I could feel the crowd through the TV at that point.
I would offer my own personal experience- sitting high in the lower section, under the balcony, when Jay's shot went in at 0:00 vs UM in 89. Thought the balcony was going to collapse on us.
I'm sure those at the WatShot game have similar stories.
I made the mistake of watching that clip of the 2012-13 squad dismantle UNC, and all I could think was "how the hell did that team not end up in the F4??"

Speaking of that, when Crean was doing commentary for ESPN that one year after we fired him UNC was playing at Syracuse. They went to the studio at one point in the game and Crean proceeded to give 3 time NT winning coach Roy Williams tips on how to beat that Syracuse zone. I wish I was joking.
It was the most poorly prepared a good IU team ever looked in a big game, in my entire life.
Did he tell Roy to play faster?
I digress… Next year is a big season. Lots of potential, lots of opportunity.
Who'd want to watch that?
Ratings would preclude those match ups from happening.
