Birmingham is proving that an attachment to a school and/or roster matters
They won’t even attend the Birmingham games

The NCAA schools should take a lesson.
A couple of seasons of all-new rosters every year and poof - nobody cares.
The goose that lays the golden egg is on the scaffold.

I disagree.

There are a lot more fans of schools/brands than the actual players at the college level. Nothing proves that more than college basketball in the one & done era.

Who knows. Time will tell.
I do predict there will be issues with 18 year olds having 100K plus per year. Car accidents, wrong crowd, guns, etc. Again, time will tell and maybe I will be wrong.

UK - the one-and-done masters - are hurting

According to a Louisville Courier-Journal article in December, the average number of tickets scanned per game at that time had been 10,439 - but UK had announced 18,615 per game. Rupp Arena capacity is 20,500.

UK reported 19,338 as their average attendance for the season. I know zero UK fans who would agree with that. They are all pissed about 1-and-done and about crappy out-of-confernce schedules.

The players don't matter...the logos matter. Hell, we had more fans at 1-11 than we would if a high school All-American game was played at Memorial.

USFL Tickets are 10 and 25 dollars.

Perhaps if there weren’t 4 games each weekend.

Then again, why would Birmingham, home of the UAB Blazers, also home to countless ‘Bama and Auburn fans, come out to see Michigan, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia… play.

Why do they even bother with these different locations? There's nothing real about it.
