Anyone watching The Wire marathon on HBO?

Not sitting and watching the whole thing, but I've caught the last several episodes of season 1 and 2. I think I'll just turn it on for a minute and it ends up being hours. So addictive.

Yes.

I actually got into The Wire late, catching the last season and maybe parts of the 2nd to last season. So I got some of the earlier episodes in yesterday, but I really need to go start to finish.

If you liked the last 2

You'll love the 1st two seasons. Some of the best tv ever made. The acting is excellent, the dialogue is top notch, and the plot and storytelling are done without excess. Omar Little is probably my favorite TV character of all time.

Yeah you definitely need to go start to finish

There are so many little things that you miss, and so many characters. It's hard to get it all even when you do watch in sequence. First time I watched I read Alan Sepinwell's recaps after each episode. It really helped me keep the characters straight. Forgot Cutty comes in this season and he was one of my favorites.

Anybody watch Orange is the New Black?

I mowed through the first two seasons pretty quickly: damn good show. Nicky Sobotka plays a prison guard named Pornstache and is fantastic, and Rhonnie pops up as a psychiatrist. Netflix is like crack.

The Wire was a joy to watch.
