anyone ever been to fisher island?

its right blow south beach Miami, have a friend invited us down, want to take them to a nice restaurant one night of the trip. I've never been there or to south beach
LOL is this a joke post? Fisher Island has the highest per capita income of anywhere in the US. It only has about 400 people living on it and you have to take a ferry or boat to get to it. Otherwise there's a million restaurants in Miami. Just google the type of food you're looking for. South Beach main drag (8th and ocean) ocean drive is a shithole. There are tons of restaurants etc. in south and north miami beach but the "famous" part of ocean drive in south beach is horrible.
If your friend lives on Fisher Island I would recommend that you bring an idea and a business plan with you. I'd also encourage you to link up with @larsIU. He has a brilliant idea for aggregating streaming services. Funding is the natural next step.
And, to be honest, I could stay in the funding phase for 8-10 years.
Oh for sure. This is just seed money. Compensation for being forward thinking, if you will. Rollout will likely take a decade. Or more. The important part is the opportunity Kurt has created. The doors that he's opened. In partnership I don't see how this fails. Knowing rich people is worth far more than any education one can attain.

You better get a lot more generous than that; fast. Do you have your own inroads to Fisher Island life? That's the good life! There's no winter on Fisher Island. There's no riots on Fisher Island. There's no crime. There's no masks. There's no Covid. The vaccines come to you! Just big drinks and stone crabs. Now listen, I've followed this board off and on since the 90s. At first blush it seems like a monumental waste of time. And upon deeper inspection that proves true. But every once in a while a connection is made that can be life-changing. This may just be one of those connections. Well done Lars. I think you deserve it. Great ideas must be rewarded.

doing quite well on my own I don't need to leach off anyone, 50 , apparently they have a world class golf course on the island, he told me to leave my clubs at home they will give me a set, he has seen me play before
It's only 9 holes...with the most incredibly spectacular views. Membership is probably north of a quarter mil a year

I thought of an idea last night while doing dishes if someone wants to help create the business plan - Kurt will secure the funding.
I'm afraid to share it so publicly but here it is and my pitch..
So I'm a big fan of Top Chef and there are countless other similar programs, Iron Chef, Chopped, Hell's Kitchen, etc. Then you have popular shows like Project Runway, America's Next Top Model, American Idol, and a list of other shows that evaluate peoples' talents and truly tell a story about the American Dream.
Why am I here and what's my idea. When you think of restaurants, you think of chefs, sous chefs, bakers, wait staff and so on. But what about the heart of the restaurant? Yes, dishwashers. I'd like you to this opportunity to help create the next great blue-collar show, Ultimate Dishwasher.
Sponsors will be easy. So what do you think? I can go on if you want to hear more. So many more ideas while I was cleaning the pans.

Yep, no brainer. We could bring in Michelin Star dishwashers who come from a pedigree of the best. Then there will be Shane from Red Lobster who comes from a rough background, which includes two felonies and a list of misdemeanors. Tanner the HS student from Wendy's who's not only stoned out of his mind but sells weed/pills out of the kitchen. Lastly, Theodore has a history with wealthier clients and has been a Private Dishwasher for over a decade.
Okay there's obviously an opportunity here but we're pursuing Lars idea first. What's more cracks in Kurt's story are emerging. The new/old money confusion is giving us pause. We're hoping it was a typo
