CMW said he would think it over on the plane ride home, I suppose he thought it over and is going to leave the fanbase twisting in the wind until Saturday. When is he scheduled to speak with the press next?

I doubt we will know anything until right before the game. You do not want to give the Izzone any more advantage than they already have.

Problem is, IU's Offense is so easy to prepare for, regardless of which players are on the floor.
Still, who do we play? We could have 7 players, 13, or somewhere in between.

Is X back at point?

does Galloway slide into a bigger per minute role as the 2?

Parker is 2nd in the B10 at 3pt %. It’s something they have to at least consider.

is Rob back? If so, it’s just something else for Izzo to think about.

Even something that is “easy to prepare for” becomes more difficult if uncertainty and different permutations are thrown into the mix.

Maybe it's more about leaving the 5 players twisting in the wind.

I doubt they are especially worried about it.
Probably true the izzone is basically a house of horrors for us. Other than the Kohl Center there is no other stadium we do worse in. I actually am not going to be able to see the game but maybe I will be saving myself some pain. Hopefully we can shock the world.

Didn't Archie win up there in OT a couple years ago?

Here you go you got your answer.

Indiana is expected to return its previously suspended five players for its matchup with Michigan State on Saturday.

Xavier Johnson, Michael Durr, Parker Stewart, Khristian Lander and Tamar Bates were suspended for Indiana's loss to Northwestern on Tuesday.

"Again, I’m looking at it as doing the right thing for our university and for our team," Head coach Mike Woodson said following IU's loss to Northwestern. "When you talk about building a team… I’m building a culture here. I’m not here to mess around with guys that don't want to do what's asked of them. If they don't then they got to go, that’s how I look at it.

"I’m going to bring players in here that want to be proud and wear that uniform proudly. That’s what it's all about. Do all the necessary things on and off the court. It’s not hard to do that."

On Thursday, Mike Woodson said all five players will be 'available to play' this weekend.

I can not believe I’m about to type this…

Im waaay more concerned about Rob coming back than any of the 5 suspendeds.

Obviously I want them all back. Especially those where they haven’t done anything before and just got caught up in some shenanigans.

But Im finding that my “give a shit” meter is much higher on kids that appear to have a high “give a shit” meter themselves. And while what those kids did likely isn’t the end of the world. It’s a clear indication they don’t care about the team enough to abide by the teams rules.

I’ve questioned Robs “give a shit” level in the past. But I’m coming around on that lately?

Izzo doesn't need up-to-date lineups. He will do the same thing he always does -- make his team play rough bully ball but whine like a little girl over every call thst doesn't go his way.
I’m glad I can’t watch it. Watching MSU play other teams is bad enough. His damn whiny face on basically every play…horrible. And then, as you mention, his strategy is to hammer and foul on every single play…to the point where the refs can’t keep calling it because there’d be a foul on every play.

Basically any game where the fouls are even or in MSUs favor…those refs are shit and shouldn’t ref any more of their games.

In his defense, CMW could just be saying that to protect the players....curfew seems awful harsh to suspend 5 players at once.
Depends on exactly what happened. If it was just about showing up 30 minutes late for a curfew, suspension is probably too harsh. Alternatively, sneaking out after curfew, which there is clear intent to break the rules, a suspension is probably warranted

Exactly. All coaches are detail people. When they don't have all the details they desire they see black holes not allowing them to be either satisfied or comfortably prepared especially mentally.

Now that we know it was a curfew violation, maybe we can all sit back and take this for what it is. It’s a message from the coach saying there is only one person in charge and that’s coach mike woodson. And no single player or group of players is more important than the name on the front of the jersey. Further, rules are rules and if there is a rule, regardless of the type of rule, coach expects each teammate to follow them and if not, there are consequences. My guess is this was not the first time these players or maybe a few have pushed the envelope on this rule and finally woody has had enough. My guess is that a few of them had done it before and the rest were first timers but got the brunt of the punishment due to their poor timing. Whatever the scenario, message has been sent and there is one man calling the shots and enforcing the rules. No one on the team can dispute who’s in charge! Now let’s go whip some sparty ass!

Ridiculous. MSU is presently going through a bad stretch also. Izzo wants every bit of info possible.
Fair point. My angle was they would prepare for the full team, and if they didn’t play then adjust on the fly.

Let’s be honest, MSU would probably have little trouble at home with an IU team breaking up 200 total minutes amongst 6 players. Galloway is awesome, but 36 minutes at point guard is not his gig.

Moot point anyway because the night crew is back.

MSU did just get run off the court by a Rutgers team mostly sticking to it’s starting 5 (starters played an average of 34 min, lowest with 30, and no bench player with more than 10)

Yeah, well that’s probably some version of their rotation over 20+ games vs an overnight emergency rotation scenario with no point guard.
