Any news on Latham?

Based on the lack of specific information and the
referral to the academic ethics panel, it does not
sound like anything will be quickly resolved.

Something should be out there.
There isn't much out there because they are still gathering information for the hearing that will be held on the matter. I personally believe it's a student misconduct issue that I'm hopeful will be resolved through the hearing. The hearing will need to be conducted fairly soon through the regulations and rules for student conduct. Reading the University Rulebook, it is pretty clear that the objective is not to hinder a student, but help them overcome whatever issues are going on. That gives me confidence that he will eventually return as long as he cleans up whatever behavior landed him on the sideline. Once the hearing is held and a decision rendered, we will hear all about it I'm sure. But this isn't something that will take months to resolve. These hearings have a time frame in which they need to be held. I expect we will know some things by this time next week. This weekend being Homecoming, it's set some things back a bit.

Sigh.....I don't know why I thought it was homecoming. Oh well. Thanks for setting me straight. Lack of sleep sucks! Was up all night searching for the missing IU student. 36 hours without sleep is too long.

Academics ?? Teddy [winner of the "Best Swimmer Against the Current " award] Kennedy was able to cheat his way through college. Like all things, I guess academic standards change.
