I know I know I know ... it's early in this game of the transfer portal. Someone posted today on X ---

But "off the record" I wonder how CDD feels about where he is at in as far as recruiting, staff, house for family, his office etc? I read the interview the last week and have no doubts he is full throttle in all areas, as are the assistants he has hired. But really ... is he at where he expected to be or wants to be? I saw more names released of players that IU is looking at or have been in contact with, since the portal opened. With more to declare in addition to the 1,657 players available, finding 9 more on scholarship that fit your schemes should be doable.

As with UM and Louisville this past season, there will be players unknown that will shock the world of college basketball.

Yet I would really like to hear (don't expect a word nor deserve to know) his thoughts on what is going on, are they where they want to be right now and what's on the horizon.

With Risley being a Woodson fan ... I took what was said in his interview (did not listen) with a grain of salt. I heard other ex players on those conference calls did not hear what Risley said ... a lot of signings 4? this past weekend.

It seems if you look at the top 50 on On3 38 of them or 76% have already picked a team. Yes I know rankings do not matter but of what they perceive to bet the top guys the majority are already gone. They likely know fast what they want for money and you can either match it or you cannot.

The portal closing date only refers to those wanting to ENTER the portal.

Players in the portal can sign on pretty much whenever they want.
