Alot to like today, some maybe not so much

Last year's team checks out before the end of the first half and loses by 20-30. This year they fight the whole game and are in a position to win in the final minute. More or less the same team, the difference is the coaching.

Depends what you're looking for.
I thought we would lose by 30 so a moral victory which really is what iu is now moral victories. But showing no ability to win close games makes it seem almost impossible to win two straight in the BTT

While true thats great for moral victories but at the end of the day its a loss and we are in the NIT.

The one thing that Woodson had done with this team is instilled more pride and fight in them. That is showing itself mostly defensively right now and we are so much better defensively now than we were last year. I am incredibly happy about that. Watching the last 10 or so games last year was miserable. It was pretty much Race, Durham and Galloway fighting hard every game while the rest rolled over.

We have a long way to go as a team and program still but there is quite a bit to be happy about if you are inclined to be happy.

Those are some damn strong rose colored glasses for a team full of upperclassmen that has won 2 games in the last month

Upperclassmen playing in a new system, new coach, with new teammates. 3 of the 5 starters were new. The reason a team of upperclassmen is usually good is because they’ve all played several years together with the same system and coaches.

Fair points, but it would be reasonable to expect to see progress within the season. The inability to make progress in eliminating stupid play or learning to close games with experienced players numbs the mind.

Didn't we see a substantial decrease in turnovers throughout the year?
