Adou Thiero

Appears very solid. Like that he recently grew. The PG skills he developed out of necessity, while playing at 5'10...will help him a lot now that he's 6'5. I like his shooting form. I'm guessing his lower shooting percentage numbers are partly due to him getting used to his new size and frame.

If he's a good kid, has a good work ethic, and is putting up those kinds of numbers against good competition...definitely worth a very, very hard look.

Both of his parents were very good players.

Yeah...saw that...definitely an intriguing prospect.

Obviously we need shooters. His form looks very sound, and he looks comfortable getting into his shot. What I like the most though is he appears to be a very good all around player. And while we do need "shooters", I always think there's a place for guys that are just good "ball players". If he is that, bring him on!

He’s got size. Looks to be a great multiple position player. He just might end up an Anthony Davis type. Very under the radar player. Won’t be very long I’m afraid.

The good thing is he's a 22' kid...isnt he? So he doesn't really have a ton of opportunities to "blow up". But obviously its in the process of happening, as he was at the IU game recently. If he's as solid as we're hoping...hopefully Woody and his main assistants can find ample time to make a hard push for this kid.

Obviously a lot of big IFs involved here though. But 6'5", versatile, guards are always good to take a look at.

It’s happened before. Bird started college at 6’7. Davis grew 4 inches after his senior year. Scottie pippin blew up in college. I’m not counting on it just showing examples.

Certainly...I believe Tim Duncan grew very late as well. David Robinson. Lots of examples of guys that grew up late.

Without knowing anything else besides his stat line, and watching a handful of highlight plays... He has the following going for him:

1. His parents. Both from a skill and potential to grow some more.
2. He spent a lot of his formative years as a PG. 5'10 isn't exactly short in normal middle school year situations. But it would be against good AAU teams, and then as he played his first few years of HS. So he hasn't been able to rely on his height. Which is good.
3. HIs form, handle, and overall movement on the court are all very solid, tight, natural.

Obviously there are a million other things that need to be factored in, but those 3 things above are known at this time, and are all good things. If the work ethic, attitude, competition experiences all check out as well...I hope we get on him early and land him!

He’s definitely been trained/coached well. I bet he blows up this summer depending on his AAU looks. His size alone will get him noticed.

They would go well at the 2/3 opposite each other. Jg is hopefuly a future 3. He’s got work to do though.
Was hoping JG would make that leap this year, things would have been very different. Fingers crossed for next year. If he becomes a 3, that would be huge.

Kid has no rivals, or 247 very rare. I'm all for raw talent but right now we need proven shooters.

He would most likely be used at both spots depending on rotation. A better OG is what he could be. Shut down wing defender. He’s got the ability to be quicker too.

Well, he chose a bigger profile program.
I think we can all bid adieu to Mr. Adou. IU wasn’t even in the running and the kid’s dad played for Calipari at Memphis.
