Adam Sandler Tries Out For IU

Little 500 1988. Met him and MTV crew in varsity villas. Still have some pictures of the dude we labeled “the human torch “. He was so loaded drunk, he would take a half solo cup of lighter fluid in his mouth, roll up a newspaper and light it, then blow out a gargantuan fireball. He must’ve done it eight times, one time actually made it on MTV a few weeks later. Surprised we lived through that weekend.

Is that the court at Jackson Heights?
Great clip.
I lived there for a year and played on that court many times. In the ”Stone Age”, before the clip was made, they were called the 1700 Jackson Apartments. Great parties and the buildings already looked old/used just a few years after it opened….LOL

How long did you live there? And where was it again?

Netflix movie, "Hustle", is awesome. IMO, the second best bball movie ever, behind "Hoosiers". Sandler did a great job, and the pros held their own as actors.

Agreed that it is very good. Hard to believe the Spanish NBA player is not an actor as he did a great job in his debut. Edwards “The Ant” was also good as his on court nemesis.

Hoops Dreams is #2 if you include documentaries. I'll give you Hoosiers at #1
