I have not heard CMW take any responsibility for what happened at the end of the game. Both the play and substitutions. Also for the need to have Goode turn him back to shake hands.
Just so embarrassing for the program. Change can not come to soon.

He called it "unacceptable" that they didn't foul when they had one to give, and said they called a play for Myles Rice to get the ball coming out of the corner on a screen after Reneau lost the ball and the frantic subbing happened.

Apparently they haven’t practiced that out of bounds play enough for him to know what he’s supposed to do. I blame that on the coach not preparing his team. I’m 50 and I still remember our play to get off a last second shot in 8th grade because we practiced it a lot so we knew, if it was called, what we were supposed to do, regardless if there was a timeout to discuss or not. At this level they should have multiple plays for this situation that they know, and can execute, for different players depending on how they’ve played in that game.

in the post game presser, he made sure to mention Gallo's missed front end of 1 and 1 FTs at least twice.
Which he's correct.....Gallo hits both FTs, and the remaining seconds unfold much differently...and we still likely win.
Still, not giving the foul to give....why isn't Woody screaming "FOUL you stupid MOTHER F#*$KERS !!!" from the bench??

As for the last second mass subs...no clue why he thought that was wise.

Why not call time out and get Goode in the game for his FT shooting? And MM? After MD scored to make it a 2 pt game with 20 some seconds, call TO and get your best FT shooters on the court.

Yeah at this point in year 4 if the players are not doing what they are supposed to do that's on the coach. If he didn't teach it well, or if the players are used to no consequences for not executing the called play, or if they are just incapable, that's all ultimately on the coach at this point. Well before this point really, but certainly now.
