Yes. He said IU wouldn't win 15 or make the tournament. IU won several more than 15 and was definitely in the tournament according to the experts. It would be hard to be more wrong.
They also didn't miss the tournament since there was no tournament and no tournament selection.

IU was going to be in the tournament and you said you’d bet they wouldn’t win more than 15 games. You were very wrong on both predictions.
I was off by five wins but to say we were in the tournament is not right. Penn State would of beat us then if anybody gets upset in other tournaments IU is on the bubble. The last projections IU was a 11 seed.
Why so sure about that? There wasn't a team playing worse basketball down the stretch than Penn State who were losers in 5 of their last 6.

There would have had to been MASSIVE upsets for IU to not have made the tournament last year. Texas and Texas Tech was a likely a de-facto elimination game so that eliminates one bubble spot. Even if IU had loss to Penn State it still would have been a Q1 loss and nothing to significantly knock them out of the field.
In this article they say that the Big Ten was projected to send 10 teams to the NCAAT. IU would've been the 10th. They were tied for 10th (even though a few on here like to say that IU finished 11th, that was only their B1GT seed). So it's not just fanbois saying that IU would very likely have been in the tournament.
