This deep into the season, I doubt there will be any changes in our issues, especially regarding our 3pt defense! Teams will just live and die by the 3 against us! Our 3pt D has been sht for too long and it won’t change unless a coaching change happens or we recruit the best perimeter defenders in the country!

You mean in conference or overall? If overall, that seems unduly pessimistic at this point to me. Then again, I didn’t pay for BTN Plus this time around so maybe we were worse than I realize.

I’m sure you would be a better coach or player than any we have. I just get tired of all the griping on this board. Mostly from those who are not good enough to either coach or play. If griping is your thing, than have at it.

KS was, what, 17/32 on threes? How many does a team have to make before our players start guarding their shooters?

We were up 13, then down 4, and won going away, but we gave up 87 points. Not satisfied with our defense, and I'm sure Woody isn't either.

IMHO, teams should shoot 80-85% on free throws. OK, maybe unrealistic, but damn, if you can't hit a straight-on fifteen footer, flat-footed, with no one in your face, maybe you shouldn't be on the court. They're free for a reason as I'm sure somebody before me has said.

Ok. But we had 2 starters missing, a 3rd that got hurt during the game, and you want to take Reneau and Gallo off the court for shooting 60+% from the line.

Oh, and RMK lost to Minne by 40, to Cleveland St, and was 7-5 in 1981 after losing to Pan Am and Clemson.

We have not looked good. I agree. But I want to see the team with a healthy X and Ware. I think we would be pleased. Not top 5 pleased, but top 20.

I had high hopes this team could be hell on other teams defensively, with how Woodson stresses defense. It’s not been good at all overall, so now we’re back to hope. In fact our d has been abysmal in the aggregate. I’ll keep hoping and listening to ‘I’ve got to get these kids to figure it out’. Hmmm

With the athleticism on this team, no one should be hitting more than 8 or 9 threes on us. One thing I don't like about the 4 and 5 star players, they've never had to play defense in high school so most don't understand what it takes and if you only plan on being around a year, they don't make the commitment.

Allowing 87 to Kennesaw St is absurd, when is this team going to start playing defense like they're capable??? Can Woodson even teach defense at the college level?

I don't care that Woodson was an NBA coach or not,his substitution pattern is atrocious. Mgbako was on a roll then he takes him out and Kennesaw starts cutting the lead. I was pleased with the Big Guy's effort though 4 blocks and hitting free throws.

cracks me up when someone specifies a # of threes. Hitting 6 threes might be awful if they only take 10, while 8-9 might not be a big deal if they take 30+ shots to do it.
