Having no reliable Party loyalty to draw upon, actors such as Fauci were accepted at face value. When the C19 virus was released and went global, it evolved into disaster.
Fauci was one of a number of actors in this era...Pence, Barr,
Pompeo, who had little scrutiny by Trump prior to his election.
He was forced to trust the wrong people.

COVID skepticism has led to vaccine refusal in general. It’s happening. I see it. That’s dangerous and we as a society will pay for it. We have smoking laws on public places to protect non smokers. Those who don’t vaccinate against potentially serious diseases (not COVID) will put others at risk. I’m libertarian in thought so do what you want, but large scale vaccine refusal due to ridiculous conspiracy is dangerous and will eventually result in widespread morbidity which is completely unnecessary

J&J also has operations in Indiana. There are numerous other tier 2 and tier 3 Hoosier companies involved in R&D, component manufacturing, and supply chain activities supporting C19 vaccines.
