A perfect bracket still left on NCAA.com.

I'm surprised there aren't more. There really haven't been many true upsets. It seems like all the upset bids fell just short at the end. I'm down to just rooting for the teams and coaches I hate to lose rather than really having someone to root for.

For me, I can still root for Gonzaga and Virginia. If/when they are eliminated, I will probably stop watching. I would also be fine with Michigan or Texas Tech, but not enough to really root for either unless they were playing someone from the SEC or Duke or Carolina. This year the tournament has really rewarded the shadiest programs with the shadiest coaches. This is a pretty good argument that it does pay to bend the rules or hire coaches who got in trouble elsewhere.

It's pretty bad when as an IU fan I find Purdue winning a more palatable thing than ten or eleven other teams. Their fanbase is a complete collection of assbags, but I do like Painter as a coach and I appreciate the way he gets his kids to play. And by all accounts, they haven't completely sold their souls to win.

Don't worry, Purdue won't win.

There’s been a couple 12 and 13 seeds advancing, and some 10 seeds, so there’s been enough to make it hard. In fact, 12 of the 32 teams that played over the weekend were the lower seeds.

Usually a couple of those 10-12s get through to the sweet sixteen and one true underdog gets to the final 8 or even the final four. Only the big boys left this year. Oregon is the biggest surprise probably, but they had injury issues most of the year that really plagued them. Their history the last couple of years makes it not all that surprising that they got this far.
