7-3 weekend...I thought that was a favorable schedule

Love it when I have 4 heavy favorites, even if they're the only favorites on the schedule. I figure some of slight to moderate dogs have to come through, and this weekend 3 of 6 did.

Started out a little shakey with VCU having to pull one out of the fire at Ga St, but then the rest of my heavy favorites (Kan, Mo St & Mia-O) came through with lopsided wins.

The big upset win I got was Wi-Mil at Wi-GB. I thought they were about my worst chance for the weekend. S.Car came through as a very slight dog according to Pomeroy, and NW St also won as a slight dog.

I thought Dayton and Boise would show better than they did. SMU did actually make a game of it, which is a moral victory for them.

Bad news is that I've emptied regular season games from VCU, Mo St and Wi-Mil. Wi-Mil is no big deal, but I'll greatly miss those 2 other teams.

If I was JM, I'd be extremely pissed with LSU

Where the hell has that kind of play been all year?

I remember in year 1 of the roto I had an underachieving Va team beat #1 Duke late in the year. I could have strangled Virginia for not showing up until that night.

I'm pissed at Jackson St - they lost to Miss Valley St

They have 10 wins with 3 games to go - they need to win all three or they are officially a disappointing at-large pick. I thought I might get 16 wins out of them. Blech.

George Mason and Indiana both lost on the road again... as usual.

On the other hand, Richmond won their third game. Weird. You know, 3 wins for my last team is bad, but no more than a couple less than I expected. My problem is that I don't have any great roto teams. I've got several that are just a little sub-par, nothing terrible, but nothing on the positive side to balance them out.

I've seemingly had a great roto team in most years

If the results were based on just our best teams, then I'd have done pretty well.

I've done something like this:

1. Year 1...Kent St... 20 wins
2. Year 2...S.Illinois...16 wins but bombed out in the 1st rnd of MVC tourney
3. Year 3...Ok St...17 wins...This was a 5th round team
4. Year 4...VCU...16 or 17 wins...This was the last pick of the 6th round.
5. Year 5...G.Mason...16 or 17 wins...took a relatively early exit from Colonial tourney
6. This year...So far 16 wins with VCU

Two things are obvious from above. You need more than just one great team, and I am the absolute King of the Colonial.

Creighton still has a chance to be considered a great roto team if they do well in the tourney.

Peegs actually won in year 3 of the roto despite not having any great teams. He had a bunch that were good and none that were bad. I think it's more important to avoid the teams that will kill you. I just can't seem to do that.
