had 8 wins this weekend

but only three of them counted. Glad "Bracket Buster" weekend is behind us.

Didn't have a to follow much of the Bracket Busters

My perception was that the MVC took a hit although S.Ill (over Butler) and Bradley (over VCU) had big wins. But Wichita, Creighton and Mo St all bombed.

That should make the Mo St at Wichita game interesting. Both of those teams should need the win badly.

You're worry is that S.Ill is now a lock (maybe they were earlier too), and won't have much motivation in the MVC tourney.

Didn't follow the Colonial as well. All I saw was that VCU got beat by Bradley and that Drexel beat someon who was pretty good.

Drexel could make up for S.Ill's potential lack of tourney wins. Drex still has a lot of work to make the NCAA, so they could show well in the league tourney. Maybe VCU will have to put out in it now too.

Drexel has some good out of conference wins

Drexel was the team that beat Creighton this weekend and they did it at Creighton. They also won at Syracuse, at Villanova and at Temple.

I know they are 4th in the Colonial but given what George Mason did last year I think the NCAA committee should give serious consideration to putting in four Colonial teams.

What has hurt Drexel is they often seem to play better on the road than they do at home.

I just looked Drexel up

Like you said, they had a lot of good non-league wins. They also really don't have that many bad losses.

The killer for them is that they're only 4th place in their league. I imagine no more than 2 from the Colonial will make it to the NCAA.

I also don't think VCU is safe even if they win the regular season outright. They may need to win 2 games in the Colonial tourney.
