Unvaccinated child in West Tx. Prepare for a lot more of these preventable diseases to be in the news in coming years.

It is now, but for a long time it was the moonbats on the left.
Anti Vaxxers started on the left. Hippie dippie suburban mom types and guys with man buns. Then us non-moonbats on the left started mercilessly making fun on them. They got disenfranchised. Trump happened. Covid happened. Bingo Bango Bingo. Now life long ultra lefties like RFK Jr are "Republicans". They are yours now. You're welcome.

Unfortunately this will affect kids on both aisles. I guess more kids will have to die for parents to see the value of this vaccine.

Yep. When my kids were born in 2005 and 2007, it was a far left thing for sure. It sort of got co-opted by 'don't trust the government/deep state' types down the road.
Exactly right. I remember this when my daughter was going through elementary school in Hawaii. Lots of liberal anti-vaxxers there.

Yes. This is an issue that seems more prevalent on the far right but also permeates the far left. And there is no amount of scientific evidence that can undo the damage done by a dumbass actress

I think you forget or ignore all of the Somalis and others who refuse to be vaccinated. We've had numerous outbreaks in MN, including Meales recently. Comes around every couple of years now.

I think, like chemtrails and GMO foods, anti-vax is a good example of how the political spectrum sort of curves into a circle, so the really crazy people on either end are actually closer to each other than they are to the mainstreams.

He made a true statement.
Yes but in 2000 we had declared it eradicated. So somewhere we screwed up.

Then he went on to say the hospitalizations were not serious, just quarantine. The state health commissioner said that was wrong, Texas does not quarantine people in a hospital. Which makes sense, a hospital is an awfully expensive quarantine.

The entire Americas claimed measles was eradicated in the early 2000s. We've started seeing outbreaks of measles and mumps in central and south America post-covid too. Mumps cases were over 3k in Brazil and Argentina a few years ago, maybe Mexico also.

CDC suggests there have always been outbreaks in the US and it's due to unvaccinated travelers.
