1991 ND vs IU (Last Meeting)

I was there thanks to Paul Hornung. Paul Hornung was a member at Audubon Country Club as was my stepdad. My stepdad and I went over to Audubon to get the tickets from Paul.

I think Paul was in the clubhouse playing cards/partying when he handed us an envelope with three tickets. I was only 16 but remember it well.

I think Indiana has a better shot this time!

we had them until the last couple minutes of the 1st half.

they scored to make it 21-17 and then penalty on us let them kick from the 50

onside kick.....we don't recover and they score again to go up 28-17 at half

it all went to sh!t after that.

kind of like the o$u game

Yes, Holtz caught Mallory with his pants down on that onside kick. Totally out coached Bill in that game.

I was there as well - think I remember Brett Law running well and an INT by us in red zone in Q3 that really hurt - need to go back and check- yes,it was hot.

My Wife and I were there. It was hotter than Hades. Not cloud in the sky, the sun looked huge. must have been 95 degrees. Even Touchdown Jesus was sweating. I remember trying to work my way to a concession stand at halftime. Just one big mass of sweaty humanity. Drove back to Fort Wayne, after the game went into our Condo, immediately put on swim suits and went over to our Community Pool for a 7:00 p.m. dip. Man did that feel good.

I was at this game -sort of. Never made it inside. Rode up from IU in an RV with 2-3 kegs. Tailgated and partied. Trent Green at QB.
I was there too. All of the Irregulars were there. The seat were so small that 15% of the crowd had to be either at the concessions or in the bathrooms for everyone to have a seat.

I also attended the 1991 game, along with a few other games at ND Stadium. My first one was ND vs. PU where Paul Hornung was a sophomore back-up but played as a punt returner against the PU squad of Tom Betts, Len Dawson & Lamar Lundy. ND was upset that day with Dawson & Lundy hooking up for a break-away TD to seal ND's fate.

I told a bunch of Notre Dame fan friends that Indiana was going to win that game. I felt pretty good about it.
We really didn't play our best game. Wasn't too close. Disappointing. That ND team was pretty loaded on offense though. Jerome Bettis, Rick Mirer, can't remember their good tight end.

They had 2, Irv Smith and Derek Brown. Also, Cooper Jones’ dad was a DL on that ND team. That team was loaded.

I was there too. Very hot. Sitting near the top. Trent Green’s first pass was a pick 6.
