19 of 38 from Three the Last Two Games

I would wager the 19 made threes is the best two game output this season.

Getting hot at the right time, better late than never.
Nice to see. And for the most part, the right guys are shooting them. Not a fan of Carlyle or Reneau launching them. Probably not Leal either, but he rarely hoists one. It’s been the hump for damn near 4 years.

Leal passed up several pretty open shots tonight. I’ll agree with Cav on that critique, he rarely shoots even if he’s open.

They took 23. This team is really inconsistent in that area. 9 of 23 is pretty good. 10 of 16 is outstanding. I hope the trend continues but I’m still hesitant on them keeping that up. If they can this team will be a very tough out for anyone in the B1G.

In Big Ten play, 3pt%

Goode 46%
Rice 37%
Mgbako 27%
Galloway 27%
Carlyle 25%

Leal is slightly above 40% on very low volume.

Goode is top 5 in the league from 3 just about any way you look at it.

Mgbako was around 40% last season if I recall correctly, so that drop off in % is stark.

Goode needs 8-10 looks a game.

Rice only averaging 3 attempts a game, think I'd be cool if doubled that as it would open for driving lanes for him, worst case.

Lastly, need to be inside Shelstead's underwear on Tuesday. High volume and the best three point shooter in the league this season.

Last two games have been against poor defensive teams. PSU has one very good perimeter defender and a bunch of stiffs. Washington is worse.

But it's still nice to see the ball go in. Hopefully the confidence carries over.
