Maybe they will work hard and achieve the 14th ranked team in the country?
That would be a remarkable turn-around from a team that finished 9th in the B10.

Since we were the first B10 team listed...it could be taken that we'd win the B10.

14th best team in the country at the end of the year would give us a 3 or 4 seed in the NCAA tournament. If it went chalk, we'd make a Sweet 16.

So... if someone predicted us winning the B10 title and making a Sweet 16 this year...I'd be pretty jacked about that.

So I'd say probably "under"...if I were making a realistic prediction of where we'd finish.

Obviously I want more than that. And I think we certainly could. But expecting or predicting anything better than 14th, I think is pretty optimistic.

I''d say very close to a top 10 team.
TJD needs to ultra dominate. And our 5 -7 th guy needs to be highlighted on other teams scouting report..For it to be so..

Take off the rose-colored glasses and this may be a reasonable assessment. "....remain who they always have been and this may be part of the problem", plus we lost our best three point shooter on a bad three point shooting team. Still, I'm looking forward to a good season, hoping we're not a team that "fades", as they suggest might happen. A lot is expected from Woodson this season. His honeymoon period ended once TJD decided to return.

We’d need to be top 50, in all likelihood, with our OE rating, assuming our DE rating stays similar or slightly better…to end up being the 14th best team. Top 10 teams usually are top 30 or better in both categories. Unless they’re top 5 like dominant in one of them.

It’s why I’ve lobbied so often that we need to change our offensive philosophy. We didn’t bring in any knock down shooters. Probably wouldn’t have mattered if we did. So I have a hard time thinking we’ll make a big enough jump with our OE to be a legit Final Four contender.

Right and if 1-2 players start knocking down 3's this team will be really good! We certainly have the inside game to open up players to prove they have it....say Bates, Kopp, maybe Galloway. With JHS who's to say X won't be a bigger threat as well.

Last year was a solid B performance. Better than we have had in years. We get a B performance this year we are 25th in the nation and a 5-7 seed.

We get an A performance, watch the F out.

I'd agree with that overall. I think last year was razor thinly better than a couple of the Archie teams, on the court. It just felt better because Woody is a much more likeable person, and it does seem that the players are more into being at IU than we've seen in recent history.

I hope I'm wrong to be as guarded as I have been, believe me. And I'll be the first to admit it.

I'd agree that a B grade would be 25th and a 5 ish seed. B+ top 20, top 4 seed. A territory is where it gets fun. Hope it happens!
