Why would the B1G support this? Would seem to remove a major lever for getting ND to join the conference
Edit - I guess we could move to a strength of schedule ranking system for the playoff which could force NDs hand…especially if we reduce how many B1G teams they can schedule.

ND wont play in the BIG because of days like tomorrow. They don't want to play second fiddle. As much as I hate osu I hope ohio state bashes their brains in tomorrow and sends them home like a whimpering puppy. They can't handle a BIG boy conference.
Way to many games. 14 in the nfl and now 12 in CFP. That’s plenty. You can’t tell me that after the top 6 the rest fall off.It will be rare a 12 nocks off a 1.
Yeah I see 8 and no byes but for the most part unlike basketball where one player can basically beat a much better team that doesnt happen in football in a playoff.
I hope teams start blowing off games at the end of the regular season when a playoff berth is assured.

A 32 team playoff would be sooo exciting. Fans would love it and the money would be unworldly.
