Indiana and Illinois residents: Have you bought an NFL jersey lately?

Are you in the mainstream?

Are you like Original Happy Goat, who secretly puts on his Brady jersey and whacks off?

The NFL released a map of jersey sales by state, and who do you think is on top in Indiana and Illinois?

That's embarrassing that Indiana and Illinois would buy that jersey. Well not as much for Illinois because the bears don't have anyone worth a damn but Indiana? That's a joke.

Indeed, 5 is greater than 2.

Leading a team to 5 championships is far more impressive than being carried by your team to two championships.

But if you like winning less often in the regular season, winning much less often in the postseason, throwing more INTs, and generally gagging when it counts, Peyton is your guy.

That Russian Collusion thing had to distort these numbers.

...... It had to have really been Jay Cutler.

Brady now is 25-9 in the playoffs.

Only 4 of 31 other NFL FRANCHISES have more playoff wins (Steelers, Packers, Cowboys, Niners). All four have much, much worse winning percentages (36-24, 34-22, 34-27, 30-20).

Brady now holds every meaningful positive postseason quarterbacking record. It is important to put "positive" in there: he won't ever catch Manning in one-and done playoff exits or interceptions, for example.

With 2-3 more seasons, Brady will eclipse every single one of Manning's regular season longevity-derived positive records (Brees will also pass many of them, too).

In 13 head-to-head seasons, Brady had the higher-rated defense (yards allowed) behind him 7 times, Manning 5 times, and they were tied once. Manning had the support of the NFL's #1-rated defense in 2007. How did that work out?

Manning had more pro bowl offensive teammates, more all-pro offensive teammates, more 1st round draft picks as receiving targets, a Hall-of-fame coach, a Hall-of-fame team president & general manager, and yet he did less with them.

Even the drug-addled Jim Irsay is sufficiently coherent to conclude that the Manning era in Indy was a legacy of missed opportunities, falling short of expected performances, with the QB playing a large role in falling short. That legacy played into running #18 out of town.

It's kinda cute seeing someone argue that Manning > Brady. Nostalgic, even. It once was a thing, before EVERYONE figured out TB12 was best. What's next, with Brady-Manning... Michael Jordan- Harold Miner? The Earth: not flat-flat? Colts Suck-Just smell really bad?

Thanks for the sticky!

It's kinda cute someone using team wins as a barometer of individual accomplishments. Retarded, even.

Winning is kinda important for a quarterback, especially when you have better teammates, hall-of-fame coaching, hall-of-fame general managing, about the same level of regular season success, stellar defenses, but can't lead you way out of a wet paper bag!

But if you want to use stats and ignore the concept of WINNING anything, go right ahead. On a per-game basis, Brady has better stats than Manning in both domed stadiums and in outdoor stadiums! Since everybody puts up more gaudy stats in domes and Manning played in them 10 times more often, their overall stats look deceptively close, other than turnovers and choking, where Manning rules.

By jersey sales, it looks like even the slack-jawed Trumptards of Indiana have one correct thought in their heads: Brady rules!

Brady's Balls have low PSI

These are the truths you must face. Wake up sheeple! (ie. Brady lovers)

Seriously which Mod has crossed over to the dark side?

Is this some attempt to rekindle the AOTF of old?

Some profane moderator constantly violates the site's terms of service and changes thread titles to be rude and offensive.

It is not surprising to me that 8th grade science mystifies you! It wasn't covered in your flat Earth class

We gotta scroll pretty far down to see little brady at the bottom of the list

really puts an exclamation point on the entire GOAT discussion...

Who was having a "greatest of all-time at being 'gee, golly, shucks' popular and putting up meaningless gaudy regular season stats before gagging in the postseason" discussion?

You come up with a media-generated popularity contest (regular season MVP!)!!!

How about winning, something you don't vote on.

Oh, my bad. Winning isn't important, especially to losers like you?

It's only the votes! OK, what about WHEN IT COUNTS. How many Super Bowl MVPs does gagging #18 have? Same as Doug Williams and Mark Rypien, right? Then look at Manning's 2006 postseason stats. Putrid.

Goober has by the most playoff losses in NFL history and he holds the other-worldly record of nine one-and-done postseasons, almost all as a favorite, a feat that will never be matched or even approached!

Isn't it nice that a moderator decided to "sticky" this thread so that it can in essence be a banner headline for the entire forum? Of course, the moderator's reason for doing so was that he changed the thread title to something offensive. Well, thread titles are editable by the original poster, too.

Let's keep it stickied and keeping reminding everyone that, even in Indiana, Tom Brady is the G.O.A.T.!

Wear your Brady jersey proudly, Hoosier bandwagoners!

Since I have "insufficient privileges to reply here",

meaning that a moderator is too cowardly to allow me to post, then I guess this thread will now die.

Here's hoping that in season 3, the curse of the deflategate liars keeps rolling on, with the C**TS and Ravens both missing the playoffs yet again.

The C**TS seem destined for last place in an awful division, with or without the player voted by his peers to be the 12th-best QB in the league, after Brady, Rodgers, Ryan, Carr, Prescott, Brees, Rothlissberger, Wilson, Stafford, Newton, and Mariota.

They may have overrated him. Since the NFL started closely monitoring air pressure in footballs, his performance has fallen off a cliff.

Soooo Brady is a very good QB that has only played with great teams and the best coach of all time = NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING THE GOAT

Ok, I'm not a Brady fanboy but that's a dumb argument.

So you're saying because Brady never had an opportunity to play on a team with a defense lower than 18th that his accomplishments are less impressive? Find a new metric to tout, that's just plain stupid.
