Iowa gets a TD when we fail to protect the edge, and we suffer a “let down” - compounding the problem with a pick.

McFadden gets tossed for a launch - let down.

”let down” is inconsistent with a true belief in the team and “next man up” - right?

it’s also inconsistent with focused execution.

Champions make the NEXT play.

We need to refocus. We need to stop worrying about calls and non-calls. Either challenge it or not, but focus on the moment in front of you and MAKE THE NEXT PLAY - even if they carry your QB off on a cart.

Anything that causes lack of focus needs to go.

One of the hardest things to do in life, in general.

Even when McFadden went out, up 14, IU was heavily favored. IU is the more talented team and should win 10/10 against Cincy if both teams play their A game imo. One team simply got the job done and didn't give up down 14 nothing. The other team shot themselves in the foot time and time again with stupid mistakes.

In 2004, Gerry Dinardo took one of the worst teams IU ever dressed (actually, pick any of Dinardo’s IU teams ) into Autzen Stadium against a ranked Oregon Duck team and won, thanks to 6 Oregon turnovers. IU had a 98 yard kick return for a touchdown in that one. You want to watch a guy with great speed? Watch Lance Bennett. That kid was like watching somebody shot out of a cannon.
This IU performance against Cincy reminded me of the Oregon implosion that day.

Good memories. We were there and enjoyed the victory. It was in doubt until Kyle Killian intercepted the final pass by Oregon in the end zone. That was the same end zone where we were seated.
