I don't know about you guys, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching Purdue lose to UCONN Monday night.

In my opinion, Matt Painter got outcoached by Dan Hurley. Coach Hurley focused on stopping Purdue's other players and didn't worry as much about stopping Zach Edey. I didn't like seeing UCONN pass IU with six NCAA championships, but it was worth it to me to see Purdue lose so it still doesn't...

    Edey gets away with murder

How many NCAA championships has Purdue's male team won in basketball? Notice I didn't say "men" because Purdue doesn't have any men.

Was it just me or was the officiating in favor of Northwestern today?

Northwestern was whistled for three turnovers even though they traveled 10 or 15 times. The Hoosiers seldom get a break from the officials.

My cousin's husband is going to be on TNT tonight regarding his 3-point shooting skills.

Are you referring to the one in Nashville, IN? I've been there numerous times with Ric Fox. He was the Director of IT for Brown County government and I placed a lot of copiers with him. We also graduated together from Columbus High School in 1972. Ric's wife is a teacher at Brown County High...

My cousin's husband is going to be on TNT tonight regarding his 3-point shooting skills.

Do you remember Ron and Connie Weddle? Connie is my cousin. Her parents (Grace and Bob Balser) owned the Hickory Shades Motel on Highway 46 in Belmont. What about Diane Greller? I had her for my English teacher my sophomore year at Columbus High School. She was great! What about Jan...

My cousin's husband is going to be on TNT tonight regarding his 3-point shooting skills.

Was your wife a teacher at Brown County Schools or a fellow student of Greg and Mike? I originally am from Brown County, but my parents moved us to nearby Columbus when I was six years old. My wife, son and I moved to Deer Trails (Gnawbone) in the early 90s and remained there for about 13 or 14...

    Dirty plays

I was an IU student from 1972-76 and I don't remember any of our players doing a single dirty thing during those four years. Of course, we had a strict coach and classy players. A lot of them were good friends of mine and they were very humble. They had great work ethics, however. I wish it...

My cousin's husband is going to be on TNT tonight regarding his 3-point shooting skills.

His name is Mike Ayers and he played for Brown County High School during the 1970s. He is a member of the Brown County YMCA and hit over 100 straight 3-pointers a few years ago. My cousin said the documentary is going to be somewhere between 5:30 and 8:00 tonight. I just wanted to bring it to...

I have a strategy regarding what Mike Woodson should do against Purdue tonight.

I would love to see him start Sparks, Ware and Reneau up front for one reason: let Sparks use his bulky body to block out Edey for rebounds and play physically against him. Sparks might get into foul trouble, but I really believe it will take a toll on Edey. What do you guys think about this idea?

I played golf this morning for the first time in five or six weeks.

Even though I was rusty, I had three birdies and shot in the high 70s or low 80s. The reason I'm uncertain regarding my score is because we were playing a two-best ball format and the score keeper only put our scores on the scorecard when we used them. It makes winter seem so much shorter when...

Was it just me or did the IU players seem to be lacking energy in the second half?

Penn State was beating the Hoosiers to loose balls, IU wasn't rebounding as well and our players seemed to be making a lot more turnovers. They also missed a lot of shots and settled for contested outside shots in the second half. In my opinion, Galloway, Reneau and Ware carried IU, but nobody...

Why didn't Sparks play against Illinois?

I think he could have really helped us in the paint. Is he hurt, sick or in trouble?

Does anybody know why Sparks didn't play against Minnesota? Is he sick, injured or does Mike Woodson not want to give him any playing time?

I really believe Sparks can help IU rebound better and play better inside defense. What do you guys think?

Xavier Johnson certainly proved me wrong against Ohio State Saturday night.

Ware had a great first half, kkott. I really think Sparks could have used his big and strong body to help block out Ohio State for rebounds. However, I believe IU will be playing much better--if Xavier Johnson can stay healthy.

Xavier Johnson certainly proved me wrong against Ohio State Saturday night.

I questioned whether Xavier Johnson was ready to play yet after his lackluster performance against Nebraska Wednesday evening. However, he proved me wrong Saturday night against Ohio State. His performance really made a difference for the Hoosiers. The Hoosiers proved the 3-pointer is one of...

If you were CMW tonight, what change would you make?

I don't believe Mike Woodson should start Xavier Johnson because he doesn't appear to be ready yet. When he started Johnson against Nebraska, it reminded me of the Hoosiers' 1975 game against Kentucky in the Elite 8. That was when Bob Knight started Scott May for the first time since he broke...

I no longer have an uncle or brother. My last uncle passed away on November 30th and then my brother passed

My mother's maiden name was Crane and she originally was from Brown County. Could they be related to each other? My mom graduated in 1938 from Nashville High School. I believe they had 18 seniors in their class. My father also was in that class. His name was Merril L. Moore. Both of my parents...

I walked 18 holes at our country club golf course this morning in 73 minutes because I was the only one on the course.

Of course, I didn't play golf because our course is closed until spring. I remained on the cart paths the entire time and thoroughly enjoyed walking our relaxing course that is situated in the country. Birds were tweeting everywhere and I saw a lot of other wildlife. I also had to walk up a...
