    The key to every off-season is to set ridiculous expectations so there's more to complain about during the season. People thinking he's an even replacement for Troy are a bit delusional. If he gives some solid minutes, with the upside he's got, then it'll be a good pickup

    A bit redundant with 3 combo-type guards in the same class. Gelon might not be rated well but at least he brings an elite skill (shooting) that Crean has proven he can work into a line up (Roth, Zeisloft).

    Why do some people do this with every IU player's decision to turn pro?? It's sad we can't just let a player pursue his dream of the NBA after putting in a lot of effort and hard work for IU the past 3 yrs without all of the "better off without him, good luck in the D-league" bs.

    Seems like this could be a good backup to fill Troy's role if OG isn't quite able to do it. OG will bring the athleticism that Troy had but is a better defender/rebounder. Maybe McSwain can play a similar role that OG did this past year in backing up Troy (10-15 mpg).

    Sorry I edited the above response, but my point is that Troy is by no means only a 4 and that there's a decent amount of overlap in what he was asked to do offensively and what this kid seems like he'd be capable of.
