Because the entire ball must pass between the uprights in every case. You cannot assume a ball kid kicked above an upright would have deflected through if kicked lower.- db.cooper

The angle of the camera produced a parallax view resulting in the ball appearing farther to the right in relation to the upright from a viewer’s perspective watching the video.
