The Fever drafter Aaliyah Boston, who started over Cardozza at SC, last year. Why on earth would they even consider drafting her backup #1 over CC?

I’m hearing the same thing about Carlyle. Apparently Hickman knows as well since he just picked Cinci.

    Loyer scoreless

It’s way too early to predict where anyone will finish in the Big next season, but Purdue won’t be very good. They’ll be in the middle of the pack in the Big, and win nearly every home game. They won’t be top 25, but the bottom isn’t going to fall out either. Loyer and Smith have low major...

There is going to be big injection of NIL money.

That’s not accurate at all. You keep trying to create a narrative that’s not there. He’s using both the portal and HS recruiting, but he’s relied on the portal for getting them to these heights. Last year the 3 transfers all played major minutes and were critical to their NC run. 2 freshman also...

There is going to be big injection of NIL money.

For this season, yes. They added 6 new players last year: 3 transfers and 3 freshmen. They added 6 new players again this offseason: 1 transfer and 5 freshmen. That’s 12 new players in 2 years, and that is the definition of roster turnover.

I said that above, twice. He added 3 last year and 2 are still there. Both seasons had a total of 6 new players added. That’s a roster overhaul 2 years in a row, and the portal additions have been critical to their success. Newton, from East Carolina, has been the lynchpin.

There is going to be big injection of NIL money.

He lost like 67% of his production from last year. He totally retooled his roster for the 2nd year in a row. 3/5 starters are transfers this year, and he added 6 new players to his roster each season. It’s an example of success using both the portal and HS for recruiting, but it’s not an example...

Hurley has killed it in the portal. Spencer this year, plus Newton, Alleyne, and Diarra last year. He’s also been adding HS talent, including a 5* in Castle. They lost so much production from a year ago, yet are still so dominant again after reloading.

    Tech?

Grace wants to win and Clark easily is the best player in the draft. Plus, she’s box office. The Fever will sell a shit ton more tickets with Clark there. They could be the starting backcourt for the Fever for a decade. Boston is a beast, so they’ll b contenders immediately.
