We have needed a Ziesloft/Roth type shooter for the last decade. Could you imagine that kickout option for TJD?

Nothing says I’m a Loser like saying We are F’n Winners on National TV

I am just talking about facilities and coaching salaries. Pre BTN money the football stadium was awful, softball, baseball, volleyball facilities were all HS level. The focus of the athletic department was entirely on men's basketball.

Nothing says I’m a Loser like saying We are F’n Winners on National TV

What's embarrassing is our athletic department for decades has put virtually all it's resources into men's basketball and it's currently the 100th best team in the country. We didn't begin to invest in football until Hoeppner and Greenspan started the process 20 years ago. Sembower field was...

Nothing says I’m a Loser like saying We are F’n Winners on National TV

Purdue clearly has a dominant athletic department, finally passed University of Chicago in total BIG titles this year. IU has 3 different programs with more National Championships than Purdue's entire athletic department.

    Mellencamp getting new turf

This facility was dated when I was at IU 20 years ago. It isn't an asset to recruiting and new turf isn't going to help.

    IU opponents

I bet you're a lot of fun to hang out with... I'll stand by what I said. A month ago that game is a 45-13 IU loss. If the defense executes better on a couple of key plays, or the offense doesn't turn the ball over twice in the 2nd half I think we're celebrating an (ugly) IU win. Plus, it's not...

    IU opponents

We definitely played a terrible game vs Akron. My point is we're playing much better now than we were then, and Maryland is playing much worse.

    IU opponents

Illinois isn't terrible, but I think we caught Maryland at the wrong time. That loss to OSU broke them. They have been terrible since that loss.

What’s it gonna take to change our losing culture?

If we leave the BIG it completely cripples the entire athletic department. We need an administration that realizes football is more important than basketball. Investment in new facilities and support for football is what is needed. It's been better in the last 20 years but not nearly enough...

IU buying out next year's Louisville game

2021 Michigan played bad P5 and 2 good MAC teams Washington (4-8) Northern Illinois Western Michigan 2022 Michigan played 3 really bad teams UCONN Colorado St (3-9) Hawaii 2023 East Carolina UNLV Bowling Green A CFP contender isn't exactly killing themselves in the nonconference schedule.

    Governor's cup is ours again.

I had class with an IU soccer player that was on the teams that went back-to-back in 03 and 04. He had a friend on PUs club soccer team, and he thought their club team was good enough to beat IU. We both laughed a lot.

Yes, I have understood how it had worked from the beginning of the challenge, before it was called the Governors Cup.

    Governor's cup is ours again.

I probably didn't phrase it well. I feel like the matchup isn't a true indicator of each university and their athletic success. I know it's a head to head only in sports both schools have. It's just unfortunate that we have a dominant program like soccer, that would be an easy point every year...

    Governor's cup is ours again.

I am aware of how it works. You aren't understanding the point I was trying to make, and I am not going argue with you.

    Governor's cup is ours again.

I realize it's only head to head matchups. My point is, IU offers more sports, including a men's soccer team that would be an easy win every year. I was just making a point that it's not a tit for tat between athletic departments.

    Governor's cup is ours again.

Honestly, IU should win it every year because Purdue doesn't sponsor a full athletic department. We have 6 more varsity sports than PU has.
