    2025 Recruiting

You think TJD would have been the same Warriors player if he'd played for Miller all his college years? He's credited Woodson for getting him ready for the NBA.

Connor Essegian announcing decision at 3pm

I think Tominaga is done with college basketball.

The rules have changed also. RMK didn't have a shot clock or a three-point line in 76 or 81, and I think it was still 45 seconds in 87. In that era if Knight got a decent lead it was game over, he'd just run the clock and make you foul. Today you don't have long to set up your offense. Knight's...

Agreed, I remember all three of Knight's titles. I'm not quite so optimistic; I think it's harder now than it was then, and I would not be surprised if IU doesn't win another one in my lifetime, but it would be great if they did.

Galloway is coming off the bench now right?

Leal stayed for 4 years, the vast majority of that sitting on the bench. I don't think he's under any illusions.

For as much blame as Woodson got for everything that went wrong this year, I'll give him credit for the Purdue sweep last year.

    NIL Arms Race

I think it's less Woodson's model and more just the new reality for all high-level D1 programs. The best players are going to shop for the best deals, every year.

IU faculty vote no confidence in Whitten

Well they took Jordan the person's name off of a street and a building (among other things), for his involvement/promoting of eugenics. Maybe we can take Kinsey's name off of the institute, as a starting compromise?

IU faculty vote no confidence in Whitten

The Board of Trustees (and Bucker in particular) came out with a strong statement of support for Whitten. Buckner in particular wrote: Let me be absolutely clear: President Whitten has my full support and that of every member on the Board of Trustees. I have the privilege of working hand in...

IU faculty vote no confidence in Whitten

Yes and no. There is overlap at the admin levels. For example McRobbie was on the board of IU health while he was President of IU. Not sure about Whitten. And why is IU's name on it if there is no connection?

Road to the MAC I know but……..

I can see not wanting the FDU debacle to be the last thing in his memories of college. National runner-up does that pretty well, even with some disappointment that they didn't win it all.

    Essegian visiting IU Wednesday

I don't like seeing transfers within the conference. Just seems like a line is being crossed. You don't end up liking where you committed, fine hit the portal and move on, but not just down the road.

    Rice committed

They have already formed a group to discuss "significant challenges" in college sports. It's conceivable they could decide to leave the NCAA, start their own association and run their own tournament. I don't think that will happen, but they might use the threat as leverage.

The coach or the university doesn't decide how much NIL money the player gets, or apportion the collective NIL to the players. That's between the player and the collective or the sponsors. The coach probably expresses to the NIL collective his assesment of the player's value. But the payment is...
