    Hiring Allen was a real head scratcher. Allen was a good DC, but he was never at the level of a Manny Diaz. Nobody is going to be happy with going from the best defense in the country to the 25th best defense in the country which is probably what happens.

    Shanahan appears to be an ace recruiter judging by what he just did in a week in the receiver room. Sunseri's dad was a big name recruiter and it looks like his son is off to a good start at QB.

    This kid has some speed. Was not as impressed with the kid from Tech. He's solid and elusive but this kind can run. Awful lot of receptions in that receivers room all of the sudden. There are going to be at least three or four who can really play out of a group that has been that successful.

    I have a hard time with Dunham. He was a terrible tackler. I am sure part of that was a function of the safeties coach doing a terrible job teaching fundamentals, but I am guessing there are replacements out there that are at least his equal.
