Kaiden Turner is our 1st commit for 2022

Hopefully this is a good sign that recruiting is starting to take off. In the past the first and early recruits are guys from the state of Indiana or without a great offer list (Cooper Jones was from IN but had a good offer list last year.).

    Penix - bigger and better

Taiwan Mullen claims Penix is throwing harder after adding weight? Watch out, he already has a cannon.

IU's RB Ronnie Walker Enters Transfer Portal:

For sure. Just think if Joe Burrow had perseverance skills instead of a Heisman Trophy, a national title, and being the 1st overall pick.

    Cronk no-longer enrolled at IU

What would stop him from starting a master program next fall semester?

    Cronk no-longer enrolled at IU

Exactly. He would be doing himself a disservice to not. He is giving himself as many options as possible. He may love IU, but let's say he gets the option to be a startling lineman for an Alabama or an LSU type of team, that would be hard to pass up.

    How good are we?

Been a long time lurker and very occasional poster. This is the first time in a long time most threads aren't overrun by those who share optimism being run down by the "realists" who "tell it like it is".

    How good are we?

And based on how we finish out, we could probably end up anywhere from 12-40, assuming we win the bucket game.

    How good are we?

It is really hard to tell, as someone else mentioned the next two games will be a real measuring stick. Sure we've beat some cupcakes, but in most cases we either won on the road or beat them handily at home (neither are things we historically do).

    Penix done for the season

How about those 7-2 Hoosiers, eh?

    2020 recruiting

An 8 or 9 win season would go a long way in getting some nice grad transfers.

    2020 recruiting

Not sure where you are getting your offer lists from, but as far as Rivals lists, most all of our guys have Big10/Big12/SEC offers along side our own.

New WR Recruit...will trust but still wish...

We have 3 commits so far, 2-3* and 1-2*. It is way to early to be having these type of convo's about the new regime. And nothing implies we are being built on 2* prospects. But, my point of bringing up Ball is that just last year, arguably our best freshman was a 2*, so we should probably...

New WR Recruit...will trust but still wish...

I don't disagree with that at all. I just posted it because sprinkling in a few under the radar guys the staff likes is in no way a bad thing, and some of those 2 stars can turn out to be impact guys even as a freshman. Heck, Ball had a pretty poor offer set as well, much like Hewitt currently...

Time and time and time again...

It is frustrating, but I would rather us get over the hump when we have a chance to make some big time noise. Such as Week 1 next season at home against OSU to really get excitement rolling for the rest of the season. An upset of the #3 team would have been fantastic, but a big upset early in...

When was the last time IU was a 3.5 pt underdog to Top 10 team?

That is funny you say that. I texted a buddy about trying to make the trip to the game and he mentioned he would be in if we could find some tickets for $30 or so. $65 is one thing if I can walk to the stadium, but for a 2 hour trip both ways on top of the ticket it makes it a bit less appealing.

When was the last time IU was a 3.5 pt underdog to Top 10 team?

They should really run some promotions or something. $65 for an upper level ticket? No thank you. I was actually giving strong consideration to attending.

    Great win Hoosiers!!!

Personally I thought the pass interference call was actually veteran execution. Fant was beat (now getting beat like that is a different story) but he did the right thing and used the 15 yd penalty to his advantage instead of giving up the TD. Against WKU a young DB was in a similar situation...
