No surprise here, Ware declares for the draft.

It doesn't hurt, nor does it hurt when they come back to campus on their week off to heap praise on their former coach. Personally, I would prefer good basketball and a couple of more wins than consistently placing guys in the league. These days, most of the elite talent has their foot out the...

No surprise here, Ware declares for the draft.

Find raw talent and keep them around. Haas, Haarms, Edey, now Berg. Most of these dudes weren't stiffs either, kudos to Painter for finding them.

No surprise here, Ware declares for the draft.

Not sure he is a lottery pick, but should be a first rounder. Either way, he has more NBA potential than Edey and it will be interesting to watch their career arcs.

No surprise here, Ware declares for the draft.

He can always pull his name, but I think it's unlikely. Good luck to him.

Chris Reynolds named AD of the year

Honest question, who is still around that has any power from when Sampson was fired? I understand that culture can be passed down, but all the people that ran Knight (and Sampson) out of town are long gone (on the staff at least).

Chris Reynolds named AD of the year

I don't think that's a concern as all. Yes image and track record is important, but they will take a chance if they believe it's the right fit. See Sampson and Archie (neither turned out to be a good fit culturally and we moved on quickly.) I live in Chicago and followed Marquette when Crean...

Chris Reynolds named AD of the year

Don't forget McNeely spent our entire budget on changing the logo.

Ooo boy this is gonna get ugly.....as expected.

He is solid and we need bigs. He was profiled last week on The Journey, seems like a good kid.

    On3 Portal Rankings

I suppose big men have value regardless of how good they are, but those rankings seem flip flopped to me.

Peja's kid is in the portal

Go get him! Stojakovic is a highly skilled wing who has good positional size, is able to score from multiple levels, and even initiate offense as a guard. The son of former NBA all-star Peja Stojakovic, Andrej is a proven shot-maker like his dad with a full assortment of threes, pull-ups, and...

Anyone else impressed with Leal's post game interview?

You are correct, the post game press conference, Leal, Ware and Woody up there taking questions. I was drinking a bourbon, but I thought Leal was taking questions and at one point, he smoothly passed it to Ware to answer one. Maybe I'm mistaken, but Leal still came off as very polished.

Anyone else impressed with Leal's post game interview?

I thought the same thing, mature beyond his years. At one point, he passed a question to Ware to give him an opportunity to speak which (in my view) tells me he is a great teammate/leader.

    Trey done for the year?

Why? It seems that all of college athletics now comes down to a business decision.

    Trey done for the year?

He's got a degree, but NIL makes it a pretty easy decision to stick around and cash checks while rehabbing and not having to look for a job elsewhere.

    Trey done for the year?

Just heard he has a torn meniscus. Hope he has a speedy recovery.

    Woodson’s interviews

X is erratic, but they all play faster which seems to suit them better.

    Buckner vs Dolson

And for the record, I like many of our players. we HAVE talent and good kids, but in my view, it often appears that the sum of the parts are greater than the whole.

    Buckner vs Dolson

I don't think the majority of the fanbase is delusional and expects a F4 in the next 2 or 3 years. What EVERYONE expects is competitive basketball and solid coaching with smart players who give maximum effort. IU fans can handle the losing (occasionally), but the product on the court is simply...

    Buckner vs Dolson

Agreed. The guy has an infectious personality and I bet he would crush in-state recruiting as well as the portal. Just to clarify, I doubt these rumors are true simply because they make too much sense.

    Buckner vs Dolson

Money isn't everything. In my view, basketball at Auburn is the season between fall football and spring football. Much like Michigan, OSU and even Tennessee, basketball is second fiddle and he has never coached at a basketball first school. If he won at IU, he knows he would become a legend...
