Worst IU loss in last 10 years

Syracuse wasn’t even a bad loss. Those things happen in the tournament all the time. The real loss is the fact that we only had one legitimate shot at winning a title in 10 years. That’s why so much emphasis is placed on that one game. We should’ve lost to Temple the game before so it’s not like...

So many lies. The worst one being #6. I can guarantee you were born after our last championship. You’re not fooling anyone.

You need to brush up on your history. Were you even alive in 2010? Let me educate you.... In 2010 Stevens takes Butler to the title game and Crean finishes 4-14 in the Big Ten. In 2011 Stevens goes back to the title game and Crean finishes 3-15. How are you so confused? It wasn’t complicated...

Well I said it on this board about 5 times a day from 2010-2013. So there’s that.

Worst IU loss in last 10 years

Those were the worst. That was the question. Neither of those teams had a single player that could make our 14 man roster. Unfortunately those were a sign that more failures were coming.

Gillispie was 40-27 through 2 years. Crean was 28-66 through 3 years. Can you do basic math?

It’s always tough to fire a guy after two years. Then they hired the hall of fame coach we wouldn’t touch the year before.

It’s never easy to admit your mistake and fire a coach after 2 years.

Justin Smith is now a Razorback!

It happened all the time. Yogi was pretty much hated on this board until his senior year.

Crean went 12-20 including 3-15 in conference in his 3rd year. What would UK have done?

The right calls are rarely easy. It wasn’t easy for UK to fire Gillespie after 2 years and go hire John Calipari. But they did it and they’ve reaped the benefits ever since. Which by the way we should’ve hired Calipari instead of Crean but that’s another discussion. Crean went 12-20 his 3rd...

I was told that by dozens of people when I wanted Crean fired and Stevens hired too.

They really don’t. And people never learn. In a couple years everyone will be saying they never liked Archie but the new guy “gets it” and is guaranteed to be the next RMK. The never ending revolving door.

Was there no IU Administration during the Crean era? The downfall of IU basketball wasn’t Crean’s fault. He was just doing his job, albeit very poorly. He can’t be expected to fire himself. The blame falls on Glass, the rest of the IU administration, and the fan base for allowing and supporting...

Justin Smith is now a Razorback!

Many on here also thought it was a win when Yogi graduated and we got “pass first” PG Josh Newkirk. Point guards who score were deemed bad and we had this shiny new toy named Josh Newkirk coming in. These declarations happen every single offseason.

Because the Crean era ruined IU basketball. And a lot of our fans haven’t learned from it. Now I’m hearing if Archie finishes 5th in the Big Ten and goes to a Sweet 16 he deserves a huge extension. Why can’t we learn?
