Season Ticket outcomes

Now that selections are wrapping up, i'm curious how people's seats turned out? I've been a season ticket holder for 22 years now. I'm not a big donor. I got to row 35 last year which made me pretty happy. This year i was pushed back two rows to 37. I'm speculating that maybe more people bout football season tix that pushed them ahead of me. I also thought that maybe people would be dropping due to last year's unfulfilling season (at least in my book, not according to Woody). Every few years I think of stopping my renewal but something compels me to keep going.

Trump thinks it should be illegal to criticize judges and justices

If somehow the first amendment was ignored, then how many extra convictions would Trump have if that became a law? Trump needs to buy himself a mirror.

2024 MLB Draft - July 14-16...

There are a lot of player rankings out there going into the draft. D1Baseball released their list of the top 200 college prospects for the draft. IU led all B1G schools with five players on it and was right there at the top with the power schools that dominated the tournament this season. Here are the schools at the top of their list in numbers.

Texas A&M and LSU lead all schools with seven apiece in the Top 200, while Tennessee finishes third with six. Arkansas, Florida State, Indiana, Mississippi State, Oregon State, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Wake Forest placed five prospects each.

Iowa was 2nd to IU out of the B1G with four players on the list to include their entire weekend rotation of Brecht, Morgan, and Obermueller, as well as OF Sam Petersen. Iowa's RHP Brody Brecht ranked the highest of the B1G players on it at No. 18.

IU players that were on it:

No. 54 - Connor Foley

No. 97 - Luke Sinnard

No. 182 - Brock Tibbitts

No. 186 - Tyler Cerny

No. 192 - Carter Mathison

Rutgers Schedule

The Big 18 has 6 teams in the AP preseason top 25 (OSU, Oregon, Michigan, PSU, USC and Iowa). Rutgers will avoid all of these teams this year but USC! How is this even remotely fair?

If Rutgers finds its way to the B1G championship game, which is definitely not out of the realm of possibility, I think there could be calls to return to a division format.

The bottom line is there is no way to fairly schedule an 18 team conference with a 9 game conference schedule - which is why the expansion will likely go down in history as ruining the big ten conference. Kevin Warren was too busy counting the incremental dollars associated with the expansion to consider how things like scheduling would be implemented. He has now taken his short-sited management style to the Bears where his feeble attempts to play municipalities against one another is doing nothing but delaying the construction of the new stadium.

Trump Trial - New York

What do you think is the most likely outcome in the New York trial?

  • A guilty verdict on some or all of the counts

  • An acquittal ("total exoneration!")

  • A hung jury (jury cannot reach a unanimous decision and a mistrial is declared)

  • Trump pleads guilty to something prior to a verdict being rendered

  • Other (for example, a mistrial based on something other than a hung jury)

Have at it.

Justice for Ashli Babbitt grinds along

In an order that should surprise nobody, the District Court has ordered that the federal government must answer the complaint alleging Ashli Babbitt’s wrongful death.

In no way was her killing appropriate police conduct. That said I suspect the issue of exigent circumstances will be left to the jury. Babbitt family wants the case tried in San Diego, while the USA wants the case tried in government-friendly D.C. That issue is still unresolved.

JD Vance - you suck

FIVE times in the last three weeks I have sat in traffic because he decides to fly somewhere in the middle of rush hour. WTF? Can't you just get yourself a nice motorhome and live down by the airport until election day? Do you really need to fly home every stinking night and then fly out every stinking morning? I am sick and tired of waiting for your motorcade to take you 5 minutes from your house to Lunken Airport. Ride a bike! It would do you some good. And what's with the ambulance always following your car? Is there something you're not telling us? I mean, your route takes you no more than 10 minutes from one of the finest trauma hospitals in the Midwest, yet you need an ambulance in your motorcade? And for Christ's sake, don't you think 25 police cars is a bit much?
