IU Louisville Game Discussion

This reminds me of when we'd run a 10K for conditioning in college. The beginning is hard, you're in pain, and you just want to quit. But you know you can't, and you know you're gonna have to finish it out. But the thought of running 5 more miles seems like an impossibility. But soon after, you just go numb, you endure it, and eventually you finish it. And then you puke all over everything at the end.

That's what following IU basketball is going to be like this year.
Why can’t we quit? It looked like some of the players did.

IU Louisville Game Discussion

Why would anyone want to play here? Only $. I have been a lifelong fanatic since Jimmy Rayl. Now I don’t even watch the games anymore. A schedule of patsies to rack up a few wins for an inept coaching staff. Indiana fans do not deserve this garbage. I am at a loss for words. Embarrassing doesn’t even begin to describe the program at this point in time.
I have looked several times for video of Rayl at IU and nothing. Did you see him play and if so how did he play.

A tale of two Coaches

Cignetti vs. Woodson

Coach Cig

-talented players
-disciplined
-working toward the same goals
-no nonsense
-a joy to watch

“Coach” Wood

-talented players
-undisciplined
-seem to play for themselves
-total nonsense
-watching makes me fell like I’m in hell

Coach Cignetti will not always have the success he is having this season. You won’t always have a Rourke running the show. But his teams will always be well coached. They will nearly always be in the right spot. They won’t have many undisciplined penalties. They will play above the sum of their parts. I’m guessing they finish in the top third, definitely top half of the BIG each year and always be bowl eligible.

Coach Woodson will be what he is, a middling coach who team lack discipline, seem selfish or disinterested and almost always play below the sum of their parts. He will buy great talent each year and consistently underperform. IU basketball will luck into some success during his tenure, but for the most part…IU basketball is done until they are able to hire a “real” basketball coach.

What are some other difference y’all see.
