Congrats Democrats

What do you mean by not good? Not a good person? Not good at understanding monetary policy and macroeconomics?

What specifically does Treasury do policy-wise with monetary policy and macroecon? Do the interests of the country as whole align with the interests of the "big banks"? I don't know enough to ask good questions, yet alone have any answers. I'd think its biggest impact might actually be with FTC and SEC policy.

Memorial Stadium

Just saw the tail end of the movie "This Means War" and heard this:

Seems like it has enough energy and is current enough to appeal to a decent cross section of fans... Should be able to fit it in somewhere...

We've had at least two full threads over the years on here regarding this stuff but I looked for them and couldn't dig them up...

My general take is that the best approach for the guys who actually make decisions on our playlist is for them to look at movie soundtracks from the past 30 years and find music that's already been shown to be big hits with the general public and go from there...

In many cases they could take time and situation specific snippets of movie music and use it to our best advantage...

This is good and appropriate too:

Would love be to hear that if we're up big in the 4th against Michigan...

Hurricane Helene - she's going to be one expensive bitch

Any of you live in Arkansas, time to get out. There will be a hurricane heading your way soon, if some of us are to be believed:

Got a phone call yesterday from my guy in the ticket office

You know, it's weird...

I got sucked in to season tickets the year we started the season ranked and then lost to Iowa and Cinci....

But the weird thing is the following years, which weren't projected to be great...my seats hardly improved at all.

I think single game ticket sales fluctuate a lot depending on the quality of the team, but it doesn't seem like season ticket sales fluctuate as much.

I guess we will see next year. Seat selection is still 9 months away. Heh.
Sadly, part of the reason for this is that optimism for the basketball program still influences football season ticket sales. There are still a significant number of basketball season ticket holders who purchase season football tickets so the priority point boost protects their basketball seats. A fair number of them sell the football seats every single week. The last couple of years I've struck up conversations with the folks around me and how they came into their tickets. Almost none of the folks who sit near me are the actual season ticket holders. There are different people sitting on either side and directly in front of me every single week. I have yet to meet the actual season ticket holders for any of those seats at a game. At least this year, the folks in those seats are IU fans, and not visitors rooting for the other team.

Hoosiers

Yes, Nebraska didn't know how good they had it when they shit-canned Frank Solich and Bo Pelini.

Good friend of mine is a NEB alum & big fan. He said when they fired Pelini they were fvcking up. Said he was an asshole and didn't get along with the big donors and all that shit.

He went to Youngstown State, didn't he? I haven't heard anything about him since, one way or the other.

Giuliani turning over the keys to his Manhattan penthouse

I’ve posted over and over what I intended with my original reply.

Yeah, but you were all pissy about it...

"I don't know what you guys are talking about... That's not what I was talking about... I wasn't replying to that post..."

You still haven't copped to fvcking up. Are me and Bulk and Aloha all stupid? All three of us? No fvcking way you could have fumbled that whole subthread?

She is the only choice we have but if Harris says she is going to curb inflation one more time by

But yes, sometimes price gouging occurs. It doesn't explain our nationwide inflation across several sectors. The allegation is preposterous, as much as I'd love to sue Popeye's for that two-piece meal price.

Yeah, Harris is being unserious on this particular point. She needs to point to rising wages and if she wants to go the populist route she can claim that if your wages aren't rising to offset inflation then you're getting ripped off by your employer.

Kelly on Trump

What carried Biden in 2020 was 1) trump fatigue and 2) the hope of uncle Joe. A quiet bridge to the next election

What we got was progressive insane joe and the opposite of a quiet bridge. So in 2024 that’s the stink that is weighing down Harris. A proper primary would have replaced Harris and any number of Dems would have had a fresh start to defeat a still stale trump
Don't discount several million fake ballots.
We've been waiting four years now for someone to answer the question of who ordered counts in five states to be halted in the middle of the night....
