None of those hires happen if they don’t let Dolson and whitten do their job. I’d bet money whitten wouldn’t take Pearl, oats or beard. I’d bet none of those but I have zero clue who…
Honestly wouldn't even go after any of those guys. Go find 4-5 Kelce's (proven college coach at mid/low D1, D2, NAIA, or D3), right now, throw out the double top secret behind the scenes feelers right now...watch and vet the hell out of them the next 3 months. Make the move 5 minutes after IU and whoever the next coach's seasons are over.

They have an identity, and they play with focus and purpose. They're not as talented as IU, probably not really at any position. But magical things happen when the coach gets everyone on the same page, and runs effective stuff.
Hepburn is good. Has always given us trouble. Maybe not a 5 star, but smart, plays hard and is a pest.

This reminds me of when we'd run a 10K for conditioning in college. The beginning is hard, you're in pain, and you just want to quit. But you know you can't, and you know you're gonna have to finish it out. But the thought of running 5 more miles seems like an impossibility. But soon after, you just go numb, you endure it, and eventually you finish it. And then you puke all over everything at the end.

That's what following IU basketball is going to be like this year.

Name Cheaney….

When Woodson ran off Fife it showed how insecure he was as a coach. This mess is on Dolson. He could have avoided this by firing him last year and hiring Dusty. I like Dolson, but this is a major mistake that shouldn’t have happened.
I really think he would have if he could have. He got rid of Allen pretty quickly and raised a decent chunk of change to do it. I'd guess his hands were tied. Not anymore.
