It's really not that rare, particularly when Vandy still had one of their aces to start on the mound today. Staffs are regularly really worn down and in some cases very little is left by Sunday night/Monday so blowouts can occur very easily.

Miami won 21-3 tonight to win the Coral Gables regional title.
