Here is where things stand right now with the non-conference records along with the RPI rank and Q1 record. Needless to say as we all know, non-conference schedules/opponents are of varying quality. We have some midweek action in the B1G still to go before the weekend with IU having a tough contest on Tues with Indiana State in Terre Haute coming up.

There are only eight teams opening the conference season this coming weekend with the other five playing out of conference. Conference series matchups are as follows:

Illinois @ IU

Iowa @ Purdue

Michigan @ PSU

MSU @ Maryland

Wide open to end up on top for regular season. Just looking at the current bottom 4 based on OOC play and experience of the coaches of those teams, picking tourney teams is a crap shoot. I would lean toward Nebraska ending up on top and Northwestern missing tourney but nothing would surprise me.
